Re: Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) Raspberry Pi 2 image

The 16.04 image seems very unstable on a Raspberry Pi 3. About 75% of the time, rebooting results in a "null pointer" or "fixing recursive fault" error. I've tested with two different Pi3s and different SD cards, and the result is the same. I never had these problems with the 14.04 image on the Pi2....

The Raspberry Pi 2 DOES have composite output - it comes out of the 3.5mm 'audio' jack.

Ah, I didn't realize that the audio jack was also for video. Thanks.

Re: Detachable display for RPi2

Hello are you looking for something similar as per this picture attached if so contact http://www.neosecsolutions.com for more details about this product regards Tinylcd Interesting, thanks. However, do you sell a version that either has no header (just bare GPIO holes) or uses an extra-tall stacki...

Re: Detachable display for RPi2

I need a screen no larger than 3.5". What is an "Composite AV Cale"? A mis-spelt Audio/Video Cable. If you choose that path make sure you get the right cable. There are at least four types that look exactly the same, but different wiring inside. Only one type of wiring will work properly with the P...

Re: Detachable display for RPi2

Can anyone recommend a display that works well with the Raspberry Pi 2 and isn't permanently attached and flush to a hat board? I'm working on a small RPi2 project that includes a few hats, including an "IO Hat" that must be on the top in order to access wiring. All the RPi2 displays I've seen are ...

It's odd that you'd put this in your signature, yet mention no way to buy these in this entire thread.

That's what I've been trying to do, but I can't find anything small enough. I'm looking for a screen no more than 3 or 4", but the smallest HDMI screens are 7".

Re: Recommended DSI Screen?

Hello you can see some 3.5 and 7 inch screen on below website for raspberry Pi with various options see if they meet your need http://www.neosecsolutions.com regards Tinylcd Thanks, but those all mount directly onto the RPi header and hog all the GPIO pins. I need a screen that isn't mounted to the...

Recommended DSI Screen?

What are some good recommended DSI screens/LCDs for the Raspberry Pi 2? I'm working on a small RPi project that needs a 3" display. Since the RPi2 has a DSI slot, I tried Googling for DSI screens, specifically for the RPi, but I was surprised to only find people asking "why isn't anyone using the DS...

Re: Battery backup power

There's a lot of misinformation in this thread. Seeedstudio's Lipo Rider Pro cannot be used as a UPS . I have one sitting here in front of me, and with only a 5V@2A USB input connected, the USB output is dead. It only uses the USB input to charge the battery, not power the output. Even worse, it can...
