Re: Pi Zero W: Max. number of WiFi clients?

Thanks for the links, very interesting! With USB WiFi adapters I generally did not have good experience running them in AP mode.

Anyhow, I want to play safe here. So I'll use a router, probably a GL.iNet GL-AR750S, plus a PC which runs the server software.

Re: Pi Zero W: Max. number of WiFi clients?

Thinking more about the problem, I guess an OpenWrt router is more suitable, plus I hope it doesn't have the typical Pi issue with storage corruption in case of electricity failure.

Re: Pi Zero W: Max. number of WiFi clients?

Or is a Raspi 4 the better choice?

The software that runs on the Pi would do almost nothing, but I need a stable connection for the 25 ESP-32. Plus there will be a PC connected, which accesses a light weight Node.js application that runs on the Pi. So in total it's actually 26 devices.

Pi Zero W: Max. number of WiFi clients?

I have a Raspberry Pi Zero W configured as an access point. How many clients can be connected simultaneously? The Pi will not be connected to the Internet. Communication is low traffic, probably mostly text messages being submitted via get-requests from the clients to a Node.js web server running on...

Re: Overlay file system setup for Buster?

Fixed it now. Until there is a robust install script, I highly recommend doing the steps manually following the article Raspberry Pi Overlay Root Filesystem.

Thanks! That looks promising, but it doesn't work yet.

Overlay file system setup for Buster?

I have been told that pulling the plug on a running Raspberry Pi can easily corrupt the file system. A solution is to run the Pi with a read-only file system and have changes stored in RAM by means of an overlay file system. There are guides for setting up an overlay file system for Raspbian Stretch...

Re: VIdeo Capture

What specifically is the problem with the Pi's USB in relation to video capture devices? Has the problem been fixed in version 2? I'm asking because I read that getting the H.264 video stream from the C920 has issues as well, on the Pi, but not on the BeagleBone. It makes me wonder if, for streamin...

Re: SD Card Benchmarks

On the web site is written: "We recommend buying the Raspberry Pi SD card; this is an 8GB class 6 microSD card (with a full-size SD adaptor) that outperforms almost all other SD cards on the market and is a good value solution." Is that still the case? I care about performance for random access oper...
