Any updates on this working succesfuly. maybe you should look at the android version it runs at 60 fps on my note 5 and never goes below 60 (my phones framerate is hardlocked at 60fps). take a look there.

Time to ressurect this old thread. Assaultcube with the new OpenGL driver is 60fps at 640x480! Now i need help compiling assault cube to test out multiplayer and also the files from debian are unstable some time with the driver! so updating may help. Anyways Can anyone help me with compiling? :lol:

Are you sure you're not using OpenGL ES 2 ? This would be way more efficient on a ARM board.

i know this is a old post. buuuut lets start er up. i can compile with opengles but i cant find the headers or the library for the opengles 2. minetest uses opengl 2.1 where glshim can not run that it can only run 1.x

Not sure about that. I see a white window for a very long time until it segfaults. Feels like it's loading the map but doesn't show the logo. It may crash when it finished loading the map and starts to render in 3D. wait lets stop for a second.... what does the game render? we are talking 1.x do yo...

While i wait for a response i just had a thought. do you think its cause AC cannot init a window? i mean when you start it up you cant even see the window or the logo but you should as it loads the map! you get what im saying right?

I built AC myself. With glshim it loads for a very long time and then segfaults. Debugging with gdb didn't provide any useful information. I updated my glshim script. It now pulls from the unstable branch which contains 150 new commits. Compiling code usually isn't difficult unless the code has been unmaintained for a long time or specifically designed for another platform. Good projects offer build instructions in a Readme or on their page. im going to have to halt! i need a bigger micro sd card so also cannot fit assault cube on...

libGLU was a requirement before but apparently assaultcube removed it as a dependency recently. You don't need an x86 PC to compile assault cube or anything else. The only reason why people here cross-compile is because it's much faster. However, since I get a segfault with bloboats with latest Ras...

Adding it to LD_LIBRARY_PATH is correct. However you are doing it wrong. You say 1. LD_LIBRARY_PATH=x 2. LD_LIBRARY_PATH=y So y will overwrite x. You have 3 options to do it correctly: 1.
