Re: Span images/videos across two monitors 3840x1080

What is the recommended player for playing hevc coded videos and how to make sure playback on both screens is in sync (as to my understanding GPU only can't decode hevc video; CPU is needed as well dor this)?

Re: Using a 4.3" Display with a RPi 3 or Zero

Given that i want to use the GPIO for any additional uses, an adapter would be ideal. Soldering thin wires to the screen's cable is something i doubt i have the patience or skill for. Since you recommend i use an adapter for this part of the project, ive been window shopping around the internet for...

Re: Using a 4.3" Display with a RPi 3 or Zero

Your screen has a 24-bit DPI interface, means you can connect it to the Raspberry GPIO directly. Refer to https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/dpi/README.md for more info. DPI will use nearly all (6-bit color) or all (8-bit color) GPIO, so you need to make sure there are en...

Re: Can the raspberry pie display the desktop in 4K P60 8bit-high FRC (10bit)?

Yes, HDMI is 24bit color (8bit each for RGB). As said, your display uses FRC, so your controller board will use any input. Maybe you should mention which hardware you want to use Btw: here is what a 4k desktop looks like https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=244431&p=1491293#p14913...

Re: Can the raspberry pie display the desktop in 4K P60 8bit-high FRC (10bit)?

FRC is a controller board topic, so if your AD-board is able to drive a 10-bit (8bit+FRC panel) then the input is 8bit only.

To answer your question: yes.

Re: 3440x1440 not applying

I've got some beta firmware that may well fix this problem, that needs a hatload of testing. We are code reviewing it internally - it may all be complete nonsense and be shot down in flames, but meanwhile does anyone with HDMI problems want to try it out? hi jamesh, which problems does it address (...

Re: Best PSU for multiple different Pi's?

There are very good power supplies from Meanwell. They are rated 5V but have a small trimmer which allow you to adjust the oitput voltage a little bit (i.e. To 5.1V) some of them have dual rail output (i.e. 5V and 12V) in case you have different voltage requirements https://www.meanwell.com/productS...
