Yes, That is the error I received before. So how do you disable device_tree? EDIT: I previously tried editing /boot/config.txt with "device_tree=" to disable the device tree, as found in the instructions https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/device-tree.md raspi documentation websi...

Re: I2C, SPI, I2S, LIRC, PPS, stopped working? Read this.

Well I want to simply run I2C using wiring Pi.

Even after I enable I2C through raspi-config I get the prompt that started this posted after trying to enter "gpio load i2c" in the command line

Raspbian Jessie API

Hello,

is there a document/api on the commands that we use for the pins and such? I prefer manuals themselves instead of 'googling' and finding things, and potentially not being capable of finding the information in one source. Are there any suggestions?
Thank you.

Re: if / else statement question

Hello,

Thanks rpdom and B.Goode for your responses. But I went ahead and did what you guys recommended and test piece by piece. It looks like i had the jumper cables plugged into the wrong gpio pin on the RPi board. I probably read the board layout wrong.

if / else statement question

Hello, I don't quite get why this code works for the tutorials, but not for me. The program keeps taking the first if statement and printing 'Player 1 wins!' over and over without me pressing any buttons. Can you folks see where my mistake may be? Thanks! Electronic Components

Hello,

Are there any good websites to check out for looking up different types of components to use or order online? IE: Sensors, leds, resistors, buttons, small audio input/output devices? Thank you so much!

Commands? API?

Hello,

is there a link to official documentation on all of the different commands / syntax related to raspberry pis? besides reading the few tutorials on GPIO.OUT and etc.... I know there is a lot more capability, but how do i go about learning these on my own versus having to ask a forum? Thank you!
