Starting pygame applet from SSH using host display

I've written a pygame applet that starts/runs fine from the host console. When I try to start it from an SSH session I get an error: here are three attempts to start with error messages... pi@RPi02:~ $ python3 ./bbcTimer.py 15 4 3 pygame 1.9.4.post1 Hello from the pygame community. https://www.pygam...

Re: When are people in the U.S. getting their Pi 4s?

I ordered from Newark on June 24th, RPi4b, wall wart, case, HDMI cable.
Checked this morning and have a combined ship date in late August.

Poor service by someone - I'm not sure who is to blame.
Thanks, morris

I also tried my android cell (chrome), windows 10 (firefox, chrome) - all failed similarly.

Fourms are a lot more useful if search works.

Search fails on Nexus 7 with chrome

The only search eyeglass I see is at the top-right of my window.
I entered a keyword and pressed "search". This took me to the home screen, boo.

Bootable dual sata HDD docking station for use with RPi 3b

I am looking for a recommendation for subject device.
I ordered a Cable Matters 202024 device and found out I couldn't boot my RPi3.
I called several manafactures but they couldn't confirm I would be able to boot my RPi3.

Thanks, morris

Re: Radio Tray audio disappears after 10 seconds

Sorry, one more interesting (to me) discovery. Ran "aplay He'saPirate.wav". Which played completely no drop-outs (about 2 minutes). Played it a second time and started the radio, and the sound stopped (silence) when the radio should have been playing. Stopping the radio caused the aplay sound to be ...

Re: Radio Tray audio disappears after 10 seconds

I've run "speaker-test -c2 -t wav". When I hear sound it's both the radio audio and test front left/right verbage. When no sound is heard the speaker-test seems to pause, it's seems to be detecting the absence of output. Here is sample output: speaker-test 1.1.3 Playback device is default Stream par...

Radio Tray audio disappears after 10 seconds

Need help diagnosing/correcting my error. I select a station and I can hear the first 10 seconds or so over HDMI. When I hover over the radio tray icon the help indicates it's still playing at vol:64%, but I hear nothing. I've also trying playing a midi file while the radio is reported to play. I do...

I've a 1TB USB disk, with multiple partitions - the first (/dev/sda1) is used for "HOWTO: Move the filesystem to a USB Drive". Found this solution on the www.
cd ~/.config
mv lxpanel lxpanel_old
then reboot, X windows will detect the missing directory and recreate with defaults.

I've tried out the MagPi #36 Make a tiny solar system. Downloaded the source and resources but I'm getting a traceback initializing the solarsystem.py dictionary of planets. I've upgrade'd my system, no change. Tried Python and Python3, same behavior. Any other options available to me? Thanks, Morris
