Re: Raspberry Pi Official Touchscreen and Case!

I just bid. If I win, please ship ASAP/quickest. I'm doing a class for DEA in a week and would love to take this along - I use Pis in all of my networking classes at DEA and FBI with the class server using a monitor/keyboard/mouse at the beginning, then switch to remote access but a self-contained ...

Re: Moderators Please Read

@Heater If you click the link that is actually not a back issue but the blog post announcing that issue when it was current. No matter how stupid it sounds or I am I would like my name removed.

Re: Moderators Please Read

@Heater I would still like them removed. I am not worried about NSA or something, I just like to not have stuff coming up on the front page when I search my name in Google. Sorry if I did not make myself clear. If one of the Mods could do this I would greatly appreciate it!

Moderators Please Read

I was going to send an email but the Contact Us page on the official site strongly suggests the use of the forums. For personal reasons I would like my name removed from the comments on the blogs at raspberrypi.org. It appears at these three links as in the comments: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog...

Guide to SSH, VNC, and No Internet

Hey everybody! I recently created an Instructable about how to setup SSH and VNC. It also shows you how to install programs on your Pi without an Internet connection. This is useful if your Raspi is deployed somewhere that is beyond a wired/wireless connection or you don't have a monitor. Check it o...

Re: Wanted: Cheap HDMI Monitor

You can often pick up old monitors with a DVI-D input (as well as the normal VGA) for very little (or even free, like both the ones I have). Then you just need a cheap (£1) HDMI to DVI cable. It won't do sound, but the picture will be perfect. Thanks so much!! That was very helpful! I never thought...

Re: Wanted: Cheap HDMI Monitor

I was going to suggest that. Note that you can get sound from the 3.5mm A/V jack on the Pi. VGA monitors are also an option with a cheap HDMI - VGA converter. Could you give me a link to an example one that you know would work? I know that a lot of them don't work for some reason which is what init...

Wanted: Cheap HDMI Monitor (solved)

If anybody has a cheap HDMI monitor that he/she would be willing to sell for less than $40 please notify me. It should be at least 9" diagonal length. As long as it still works I don't care how used it is.

Contest Winners Issue 35 Notification

Does anyone know when contest winners from Mag Pi issues will receive email notification so I can give my shipping address, etc. Issue 37 came out recently and my name was in it as a winner from the Issue 35 contest! It is 09/02/15 and I am anxious to receive my board. It will help me a lot! Any ide...

Re: Gpio touchcreen not working

I bought a touch screen from e-bay but it came with an OS that was customized to work with it. It had a lot of extra software on it but I liked that better than going through the trouble of installing it from scratch. I might be able to upload it to google drive or something if you want to try it.

I was reading issue 37 and saw my name as a runner up for the issue 35 contest! :D I haven't gotten an email yet either :(. Maybe it just takes a while to get everything in order. Also, does anyone know, do you have to pay shipping for it to be delivered if you live in the U.S.? I'm so excited!

Concerning the contests in the last couple of issues, how will we know if we won/lost? I entered the Issue 34 contest and haven't gotten any emails yet.
