Pi4 Buster VNC problem?

I have been happily running VNC on PI3 so I know the Setup for those. Just got a new Pi4 and download the latest Buster. Works fine with and HDMI , mouse & keyboard. When I connected a PC to the fully connected Pi to set up VNC it worked. When I tried to run it completely headless (NO HDMI , mouse &...

GPIOzero button Migrating from RPi.GPIO

I have a simple RPi.GPIO that Blinks an output and reads that as an input. import RPi.GPIO as GPIO import time GPIO.setmode(GPIO.BCM) # Variable for the BCM GPIO pin number READ_1 = 2 LED_1 = 16 # Setup the GPIO pins for output GPIO.setup(READ_1, GPIO.IN) GPIO.setup(LED_1, GPIO.OUT) # Loop to blink ...

Re: A/D ops with Raspberry Pi

You said the original system used IC chips you cn not find. #1) You can not beat the high speeds of dedicated IC chips. You might want to look for newer versions manufactured. #2) DAQs have a high speed buffer for short high speed burst scans. Then they transfer the data. I think you may be looking ...

Re: My raspberry pi is not working correctly and i cant use

FYI
Bought an industrial power supply ( RHINO ) 5VDC 7A with clean ripple < 80 mV p-p.
Canabalized the 1A two wire micro connector.
Waited to run for a while to veryify still working.
It all works with all the SD cards. :D

At a loss as why specified power supplies fail? :?:

power supply and/or sd card failures

I have been frustated by repeated power supply and/or sd card failures that have ended my Raspberry pi 2 testing within 24 hours and was wondering if the compute module would be a more reliable industrial solution. Went to find some documentation on the module and programming. https://www.raspberryp...

Re: I want to learn more PLC, point me in a direction?

twinkle I have been doing automation for the last 2 decades and can tell you sadley, you are looking in the wrong direction. The pi is great for the IT side including DAQ and IoT ( Internet of things ) web based stuff ( being a small Linux PC ). If you want simple PLC stuff to learn ladder logic, I ...

Re: My raspberry pi is not working correctly and i cant use

I am having the same problems. I have gone through 3 pi and multiple sd cards in the last 6 month. Lucky to get 24 hours running use. Is their a manufacturing issue? Latest on just died after booting up and clicking on the command screen. I have them in a case and protected from static issues? I was...

Making LEDs Light Up to Bass

I am familiar with analog low pass filters to seperate out the lower frequencies. I was wandering if anyone already knows of the digital equivalent in software? Idealy I would like to be able to take any mp3 file, run it through some software to then create a time based trigger for the GPIO outputs....
