Re: DraStic DS emulator for RPi 2/3 - beta testers wanted

Not sure where to report bugs, but with the current test version I experienced these :- GTA Chinatown Wars - Exited the Emulator when it said 'saving' (very beginning of game) Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass - Exited the Emulator Mystery Case Files Millionheir - Exited the Emulator when it asked t...

Could you add RZX support ? So we can at least watch the RZX replays, I'm not too bothered about making them.

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

The HDF problem seems to be related to the size/type of the HDF, since smaller ones do work correctly. And I have reports that the one I'm testing worked on earlier builds of uae4arm as well, but I didn't test that myself yet. The size of the file is 760MB roughly. I have been using 950mb PFS3 form...

It works well on plain raspbian in my setup... didn't understand why some people got it not working.
It would be nice to have a 'Soft Reset' button (Ctrl+A+A) in the GUI for convenience.

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Thanks for repairing double buffering. Jim Power title screen is up to 36fps (used to be 41fps in previous versions). Better than it was. I wondered if anything can be done about the CD32 controls ? There is an option in the Ports panel to use CD32 controls but if you're using a Bluetooth joypad (PS...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

I don't think you would achieve 49fps if every frame is too heavy, and if its not the case the drop will not be the same... 49fps looks like more a sporadic overloading. Jim power is the worse case: every frame is overloading the rpi, only few time it succeed to be smooth. It could be an interestin...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

This is explained by the fact that double buffering is deactivated currently. If rpi is too slow for every frame then you drop directly to 25fps (half of the framerate) instead of being able to retrieve frames from time to time... So this is because of your 'Fastest CPU' speed fix. It breaks double...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Latest version is a lot slower, I think something needs to be reverted. On a Pi 3, the game 'Jim Power' I used to get about 41fps on the title screen (68020, 25mhz, Fast Copper On). Now I get 25fps !!!!!!!!

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Interesting to see your finds on this. I knew there was something wrong with it. This also means it's wrong on the Android version. Did you check the other speeds (25, 14, 7mhz) to see if TomB had specific timings for the Pandora only ?

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Just a note on some of the "available" options in UAE4Arm. Taken from the readme file :- JIT enables the Just-in-time compiler. This may breaks compatibility in some games. You will not notice a big performance improvement as long as you didn't select "Fastest" in "CPU Speed". Note: In current versi...

I noticed something, when using WHDLoad demos/games and CPU is set to Fastest or 25mhz with JIT ON, I get stuttering audio that cuts out every few seconds and the scrolling stutters. If I set it to 25mhz with JIT OFF then the audio plays normally and I get smooth scrolling !!! There's either somethi...

I just installed this emulator again after a long time and noticed the performance has gone right down. Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Are the Action Replay roms supposed to work on this ? I recently looked through the Github and there are several mentions of the Action Replay roms. In UAE4Arm there is an option for Extended ROM path which is useless (for CD32/CDTV which isn't available in UAE4Arm) but there is no Cartridge ROM path.

They are both showing, but i am unable to move the slider at all. Chip, Slow and Fast all work fine tho.... TIA! You have to ...

Thanks Trixter and Chips for figuring this out. Retropie is quite the buggy mess. It was indeed compiling the RPI1 version even though i'm on a RPI2. If you are using uae4all it isn't possible to use p96 and you have no jit-compiler
Yes, I don't use UAE4All, it's obsolete/only for Pi 1 users (in my opinion).

Just tried it and it doesn't work. There's no RTG in the Pi version (broken/no option).

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

@chips I'm not blaming any of the features, your port is excellent, even better than the Android version (more up-to-date/less bugs). I just thought that because the Pi is only 900mhz the emulator can only speed things up so far and the Pandora is even less powered. I repeat, your port is excellent,...

I tried Alien Breed 3D and the title sound does cut out and sound like it's in slow motion. The status line says it's running between 36 and 42 fps (depending on what configuration you use). It sounds correct if you put frameskip on but then it will only be running at 25 fps and wont look as good.
