Re: How do I get HDMI/DVI-D to work?

Hi, We've seen issues with some monitors in the current release, but I'm not sure what's happening here - usually hdmi_group=2 fixes the issue. Have you checked your other configuration settings? https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5851 Pranish Kumar (pranishk@microsoft.com) Microsoft...

Re: Drivers for Windows 10

Hi, With Windows 10 we've created a Universal Driver model that enables drivers to be created to work with all versions of Windows (Phone, PC and IoT Core!). You can learn more at the Driver Development Center: https://msdn.microsoft.com/library/windows/hardware/dn941241(v=vs.85).aspx You are correc...

Re: No Picture Shown

Hi, Is there any chance you are using a slower SD card (eg Class 4); at this point we have a known issue where our launch application won't start on slower SD cards (which means the screen stays blank even after boot). At the moment the only workaround is to use a faster SD Card. Pranish Kumar (pran...

Re: Pi 2 with Win10 Boots to Coloured Blocks

Hi, How long are you leaving your system running before you reboot? in this initial release the first boot is pretty slow (it depends on the SD Card but for some folks this can be 10-15 minutes). There is a known issue with some cards (eg Class 4) where they unfortunately won't boot up correctly (te...

Re: Setup without Windows 10 PC

Yes for this initial release you need a version of DISM that only works with Windows 10 Insider Preview, but we will be making the installation more flexible soon!

Re: How to install Windows 10 on Raspberry Pi 2B?

I've tried it :) - I'd recommend you take a look at the project samples on www.windowsondevices.com to get a feel for some of the projects that you can build today. My personal favorite is the robot kit (http://www.hackster.io/windowsiot/robot-kit). Let us know if you have any questions! Pranish Kum...

Re: Setup without Windows 10 PC

We don't have committed timing yet; we have some plans that should resolve in the summer (so still several months away) and we're in some discussions about approaches that could expedite this (but nothing locked yet). I wish I could give you some more concrete information, but unfortunately we're no...

Re: Video of windows ten on raspberry pi

Yes the development model we're focused on is one where you build a Universal Windows Application and then deploy this to your Raspberry Pi 2 (which can run in headless or headed mode). At this point we're focusing on enabling the development of IoT style devices which tend to be fixed/limited funct...

Re: Setup without Windows 10 PC

Today you do require a Windows 10 PC to create an SD Card for the Windows 10 IoT Core for Raspberry Pi 2 image. We are working on ways to make this release available directly, but don't have anything in place today. Appreciate the feedback. Pranish Kumar (pranishk@microsoft.com) Microsoft Corporation
