Sorry if this is covering existing ground, but the search is just turning up mostly junk Is there a way to install 2.2.1 with HW acceleration, or are we still waiting for VLC support? It just seems odd to me at this point that VLC is still not a priority, it opens up so much potential Newer version...

Sorry if this is covering existing ground, but the search is just turning up mostly junk

Is there a way to install 2.2.1 with HW acceleration, or are we still waiting for VLC support?

It just seems odd to me at this point that VLC is still not a priority, it opens up so much potential

VLC Installation?

I've tried compiling, but I get all sorts of weird errors when I try to run. Version 2.2.0 claims to have raspberry pi support, but only 2.0.3 installs when I apt-get.
Is there an easy fix for this? I really want/need the hardware accelleration

At work we have been doing some testing doing exactly this. Using gstreamer pipelines over RTP we have got very good results streaming from Pi to Pi, almost imperceptible latency and also Pi to PC (running VLC or similar). I've got two set up and want to send from one rpi camera to the other rpi
What's the easiest way to do this via a network protocol (any will do, as long as it works)

I tried with cvlc, but it's giving me issues
