Re: Best 300Mbps WiFi dongle for Raspberry Pi2

What about using a pair of powerline adapters using the ethernet instead and also a lot faster than a wifi dongle. https://www.amazon.co.uk/TL-PA4010KIT-V1-20-Powerline-Configuration-UK/dp/B01BECPIMC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1477390771&sr=8-3&keywords=powerline+adapter Sorry "Forrrge", This is not wh...

Re: Best 300Mbps WiFi dongle for Raspberry Pi2

So i want a suggestion from RPi folks which is the best 300mbps dongle which works with raspberry pi flawlessly. P.S. I need only 300 Mbps. Some are suggesting that dongle having Ralink RA5370 chipset is better to use. Does it have to be a tiny dongle? Or can a usb wifi adapter with antenna suffice...

Re: Best 300Mbps WiFi dongle for Raspberry Pi2

@mattmiller, Thanks for your suggestion, Yes this work around is useful but in this case when Hotspot is turned off. It will keep restarting network interfaces. As i am using such work around from last 3-4 months but now i want to make it without workaround as our mobile wifi connection keeps itself...

Best 300Mbps WiFi dongle for Raspberry Pi2

I've bought a TL-WN823N wifi dongle from Amazon(http://www.amazon.in/TP-Link-TL-WN823N-300Mbps-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B0088TKTY2?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=ce9a1031-5c66-4315-a4a8-7e01b767e672) . wpa_supplicant is unable to detect disconnection of hotspot.

Hello everyone, I am in the trouble with wifi connectivity of rpi with windows hotspot. I have bought 2 wifi dongle (TP-Link-823wn) and a raspberry pi. I have configured raspberry pi to be connected to a wifi network having a ssid and my wpa_supplicant.conf file in /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant...

Re: Video streaming (RPi to windows7) by using GST-RTSP and

Try this tightened setup . You need to compile gst-rpicam also. rpicamsrc directly provides video. Where you think you are piping video, you aren’t ( | ./test-launch). The problem of buffering on the receiving side has to be solved somehow. Dunno how to do that for VLC. Hi towolf, Thanks for your r...

Re: GStreamer pipeline for Windows

Thank you very much towolf ! It's work fine now, you was right. I have only about 100 millis of latency, with 1280x720 resolution and 25 fps, it's great ! With netCat the latency was about 2 seconds... Unfortunatly it's don't work fine with a wifi connection. For me the next step will be to catch t...

Re: Low latency encoding and transmission possible?

Here is a copy paste of some notes I made, I cannot guarantee these are the exact ones we used. // Source raspivid -fps 15 -b 400000 -t 0 -n -w 640 -h 480 -o - | tee | gst-launch-1.0 fdsrc ! h264parse ! rtph264pay ! udpsink host=192.168.1.255 port=5000 // Destination (can be same machine) gst-launc...

Re: Low latency encoding and transmission possible?

At work we have been doing some testing doing exactly this. Using gstreamer pipelines over RTP we have got very good results streaming from Pi to Pi, almost imperceptible latency and also Pi to PC (running VLC or similar). However, when using an Android phone over WIfi the latency was increased con...

Video streaming (RPi to windows7) by using GST-RTSP and VLC

I have created a GST-RTSP server on my Raspberry Pi as described in the below link. http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49278&p=664616 and also on http://www.aftermath.kr/category/Raspberry%20Pi (Although i don't understand the language given on the link but the steps shown on terminal...
