I need to discuss the idea of a non interrupt based data acquisition, since i am not sure if for example FFT analysis of the signals is important later. Hi msperl, Thanks for your detailed answer! For now i think i am stuck with kernel 3.12 since i read that no RT kernel patch is available for 3.18. yet. Also i am working on a rPi B+ (just one core). Using spi_sync would mean that the core is blocked by the SPI thread during tranfers, right? Anyway ...
