Re: Pi3 UART stopped working? Read this.

I've just downloaded the latest Raspbian Lite image and booted on a PI2. My program was not working normally and found out this error: /dev/ttyAMA0: No such file or directory I found that I had to set enable_uart=1 in boot/config.txt file to make it work, it was at 0. Though it was the defautl value...

Re: Cannot dial ADSL via PPPOE

I have the same issue, I'm root and I can't use pon! I always get the error:
Error: only members of the 'dip' group can use this command.

Re: Tons of errors after doing apt-get update and upgrade

I just ran H2Testw and my SD Card seems to be a legit one:
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 32.4 MByte/s
Reading speed: 79.5 MByte/s

Re: Tons of errors after doing apt-get update and upgrade

Oups forget the update error, it was my last retry and I think I was tired:)

Anyway, I always get a tons of EXT-4FX/read-only filesystem errors after:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update | sudo apt-get upgrade -y

Re: Tons of errors after doing apt-get update and upgrade

I have the same issue with a Sandisk Ultra 32GB (from Costco) on a B+. I'm using 2016-03-18-raspbian-jessie-lite.img and I do: 1- sudo raspi-config to expand fs 2- Reboot 3- sudo apt-get update (got sudo: update: command not found here on one of my multiple retry...) 4- sudo apt-get upgrade -y 5- Re...

Re: Wrong Date after reboot

My timezone is EST (GMT-5) and for the RTC it's not in the plan for now except if we really have to.

I'll take a look at the config file tomorrow to remove the extra W if it's really there (not a copy/paste error).

Wrong Date after reboot

Hi, I'm using htpdate instead of ntp for time synchronization because our provider block ntp port. I've uninstalled ntp and installed htpdate: sudo apt-get remove --purge ntp && sudo apt-get install htpdate I've manually set the time to a good value and when I run the test command, it's all good: su...

I think it's already in experimental, current version is 4.0.4.1

We will probably switch our mono project to Pi 2 for better performance, I'm actually testing our project on a Pi 2

Re: Problem streaming to Windows with Gstreamer SDK

That's bad news for me. I've been trying to use Android to playback video stream sending from rtsp-server running in RPi. I wish to use the VideoView in Android since I really don't want to use Android NDK at this moment. (Google is promoting Android Studio but it doesn't work with NDK :x . What ar...

Re: Problem streaming to Windows with Gstreamer SDK

Hi thaytan, I'm interested in using the rpicamsrc, but I cannot add the package repository under http://vontaene.de/raspbian-updates/. Cause I can't find the public key for it. Would you share how can I fix this? Thanks. If you have the latest Raspbian image update, you don't need the http://vontae...

Hi,

Take a look at this post: http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 61#p719561

Re: Problem streaming to Windows with Gstreamer SDK

All of those things are possible, but non-trivial. Nothing on gstreamer.com is up to date. There are newer versions of the tutorials for the newer SDK builds from the GStreamer project at http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~slomo/gst-sdk-tutorials/ I don't expect it to be trivial :) But I want to make sur...

Re: Problem streaming to Windows with Gstreamer SDK

Wow thanks for those informations thaytan! I'm new to the PI Community, just received my Pi 2 kit today for my project. Here are my requirements: 1- Live preview + Overlay on the connect TV (Portrait Orientation). I will probably put the preview layer on the background and add an Open GL Layer with ...
