Re: Windows 10 IoT + 40'' touchscreen Display

hmm, I am surprise that the usb used by that touchscreen would just be as a "mouse pointer". I mean, I thought that the mouse just tells you how far the mouse has moved into whatever direction. Whereas a touchscreen, you can touch anywhere and gives an x/y position. Unless the touchscreen has some c...

If you talking about the rainbow coloured screen on boot, for me, it was due to underpowered usb power supply.

Re: Store results to text file using C#

I recall I had problem reading from a file and it was something to do with the app permissions. I was trying to read from a library folder, but the app "capability" needs to be declared in your package file. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/br211422.aspx perhaps might be somethi...

Sorry can't help on that, but I have tried this lab sample as you have. I wasn't able to get passed part 2 - can't compile for ARM processor. How did you get past that one?

Re: Problem with install Windows 10 IoT!!!

1. Create an account at Microsoft Connect. 2. Download the file Windows_IoT_Core_RPI2_BUILD.zip which contains flash.ffu. Place this file in an accessible place. 3. Insert a blank 8GB Class 10 SD card into your computer. 4. Open a command prompt and type: diskpart list disk exit This will allow you...

Ohh, interesting especially the touchscreen business. How did you know it was updated on 25/06 and what changes were made? The link only seems to indicate dates of 18/06 + 19/06.

Re: Sending Data

I couldnt get c# on pi2 work with going to php page. have you tried something like (c# code) HttpClient webClient = new HttpClient(); Uri serviceUri = new Uri(@"http://www.mywebapp.com/buttonApp.php?button1=1&button2=0"); HttpResponseMessage serviceResponse = await webClient.GetAsync(serviceUri);

Re: Sending Data

AFAIK, azure is microsoft cloud version of database and not something you can install on your OS. To connect to mysql database, you will have to add some mysql dll to your project. something like http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/423233/How-to-Connect-to-MySQL-Using-Csharp . (I am guessing you using c...

Re: Sending Data

You not saying where this database is, but if you want to run database locally (within the pi), then worth checking out SQLite ( https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=111447 ). if want to write to db remotely like azure, then this interesting weather station project ( http://www.h...

Re: Display Driver for SPI/Parallel Display

+1
Love to know this as well, as I am interested in writing a display driver for my WaveShare spotpear v4 (using ili9340) for the window manager, but at the moment, I can't even compile a sample driver for the ARM processor yet with vs2015rc.

Re: Remote Desktop from IOT Core

I am a bit puzzled. Afaik, there are no RDP client app to make a RDP connection to another server. If you talking c# code, I guess open a port to 3389 something like https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar ... cplistener perhaps?

@jcdekoning as promised, my source if any help. https://github.com/DarrenTweedale/waveshare32bIOT.git . Its not pretty and optimized but at least it allows to set the position before drawing some box, pixels, and lines. Can rotate display, but can't do text yet as can't seem to issue an array of scr...

@jcdekoning, I haven't got your exact TFT as yours, but looking at your drawColor function where you are setting the column and page, I noticed you doing DisplaySendCommand(new byte[] { 0x2A }); DisplaySendData(new byte[] { (byte)(startX >> 8), (byte)(startX >> 0xff), (byte)(endX >> 8), (byte)(endX ...

TFT 3.2 and display query

Finally got the win10 IoT, and deployed a couple of apps to it. Whilst it works fine with HDMI port, but confused about how TFT would work getting them to display it. I managed to get to my waveshare 3.2 v4 device working and displaying a couple of coloured blocks on TFT, but that is passing command...
