Re: PI Zero W info

Am I understanding correctly that the $10.00 Pi Zero W isn't displacing the non-wireless version of the Pi Zero that will still be sold at $5.00?

Re: Older Pi Models Surprisingly Expensive

Produced and ordered are 2 different criteria  When was that Pi2B produced? How do you find that? My previous two 2Bs (for the same project) ended up back ordered and not delivered until the middle of May. So at a guess I'd say some time between May and now. Ah there we go. Now I see how the ...

Re: How to open .exe files in Raspberry pi

Could one use dos box and say a windows 95 or windows 3.1 installation on top of that to execute older exe files? Probably not applicable here. Found this youtube video on the topic interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idHQk99E4VA

Re: Recording two streams from same camera seconds apart

Not too sure if having two separate streams on the same camera bit is possible. For the saving data only when there has been some significant motion I found this post helpful years ago, still have a couple camera projects where I use the python script mentioned: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/vi...

Older Pi Models Surprisingly Expensive

I recently purchased a pi 3 to take over a processor heaving task I was using a pi 2 for. I repurposed my pi 2 and during that process I thought of a number of additional projects where having a pi with ethernet without spending the full $30-40 to get a pi 3 might be useful. I went looking for used ...

Re: PS1 Emulation

Daisy chaining them together to emulate games is not something I've heard of, I'm pretty sure that won't work unfortunately. I'd wager the added processing power of the pi2 is also likely the reason there aren't tutorials available for the B+. Perhaps you could try implementing one of the pi2 specif...

Model A & B Accessories and Model A+

While searching around for a preassembled LCD screen to have on hand for a project that may end up requiring one, I found one on amazon that mentioned it was compatible with the model A&B but not the B+ . Typically if something is compatible with the model A & B but not the B+ does that mean it isn'...

Re: SSHFS Raspberry pi model A

Thanks very much for your help. Running the script periodically and encapsulating the ssfs in the if statement did the trick. Doing stuff via a cron job throughout the day like that instead of just doing so at boot helped me with some other problems too. Thanks again!

Re: SSHFS Raspberry pi model A

Hi thanks for your reply. Is this a script you are running at boot? My main issue has been getting the mount to occur at boot rather than me having to mount it by manually inputting the command.

Re: Searching ideas - Swapping PI1 and PI2

So does that mean that any code that references gpio pins would need to be rewritten to work on the pi2b?

Re: Searching ideas - Swapping PI1 and PI2

Could the GPIO be implemented differently on the pi2 ? I think since the chip architecture changed there are actually 2 kernels in raspbian now and the one that gets used depends on which version of the pi is booting.

Re: Birdbox Project - Help please?

I'm actually working on a similar project based on a post found here: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/762494/Raspberry-Pi-HD-Surveillance-Camera-with-Motion-Ni I ran into issues with init scripts loading properly on the pi, so I pasted this command into crontab when accessed via crontab -e @rebo...

SSHFS Raspberry pi model A

Hello, I've been working on a simple security camera project on an old Raspberry pi Model A I had laying around from another discarded project. Basically I have a tmpfs using about 15mb of Ram where I store the pictures the camera takes, which ideally would quickly be moved to another directory. Ide...
