Re: RPI 2 preventing my PC accessing the internet

Thanks for you assistance. I think that I have solved the problem, which was at the router. I have now given the RPI a lower IP address as 118 appears to be too high for my router to handle. Setting the RPI to 192.168.1.101 ( and several reboots of the rooter and RPI) seems to have done the trick. T...

Re: RPI 2 preventing my PC accessing the internet

How do I check that I am running a dhcp on my RPI? Yes i have set on my rooter that it will give my RPI a fixed IP. But I have changed no settings on my RPI so that I would expect that it asks my router for an IP and gets the fixed IP assigned to it by my router. When the problem arises my PCs do no...

Re: RPI 2 preventing my PC accessing the internet

My RPI has a static IP which I set on my router: 192.168.1.118

I have not done any thing on the RPI itself regarding IP addresses.

My router is on 192.168.1.1

I have tried changing my DNS to 8.8.8.8 on my router, but this did not solve the problem.

RPI 2 preventing my PC accessing the internet

Help. I have recently acquired a Raspberry PI 2. This has been set up with max2play as a squeezebox server. In addition I have installed cups to run it as a printer server. When it is connected via LAN into my home network I can access it fine, via SSH and the CUPS and max2play interfaces. However a...

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Thomas,

My drive was a NTFS. I followed your instructions on the slimdevices forum to install ntfs -3g and it now works.

It only took about 20 mins to scan my 11k of flacs.

Thanks very much for your help, it is appreciated. Now I just need to understand the ffmpeg/HLS/BBC iplayer issues...

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Thomas, Thanks for your reply on my USB drive problems. The RPI was not recognising the drives at all, so lsusb was no showing anything. By adding an intermedite USB hub with a power source, solved the problem. In addition, by doing this, my internet connection problems have also disapeared. So I th...

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

I have got the max2play up and running on my raspberry pi 2. However I have a couple of problems. 1. My USB hard drives are not recognised by the RPI and so I can not access my music library. 2. When I connect up the RPI to my home network, via LAN to my router, all of my devices on my network stop ...
