Confirm the problem with two Rasperry Pi 2 today. Yesterday, on a Pi 3B+ it worked. The download size on the Pi2 was 53.0M in size, on the Pi3+ it was 56.1M. As this thread is now a 550+ posts thread, could anybody provide an easy "all-in-one" installation guide for the TL-WN725N V2 and V2.1. Using latest Raspbian 2.2015 image from 2015-02-16 with kernel 3.18.7+, plugging in the stick, the Raspberry immedately crashes and slows down extremely, so it does...

Yes, that's really annoying that it is not possible to simply follow directions to compile a driver because
apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
will fail.
As drivers are missing in the distribution, you should enable to easily compile drivers.
