Re: Pi 4 - full specification of VideoCore 6

No, nope. The correct theoretical performance of the GPUs is as follows: VideoCore IV @ 250MHz: 250 [MHz] x 3 [slice] x 4 [qpu/slice] x 4 [processor] x 2 [op/clock] = 24 Gflop/s VideoCore IV @ 300MHz: 300 [MHz] x 3 [slice] x 4 [qpu/slice] x 4 [processor] x 2 [op/clock] = 28.8 Gflop/s VideoCore VI @...

Re: VLI firmware v2.0 - powersaving features enabled

Tested and working fine on a Pi4 with 64-bit raspbian kernel and hibrid boot using USB3 SSD.
Temperature is the same as the previous (updated) firmware 0137a8.
All good, thanks. :-)

Re: Bootable 64-bit Gentoo image for the RPi4 released (Xfce4 desktop)

Hi Sakaki, Fantastic achievement, well done :-) Considering the amount of racket that certain people are making about the 'new Pi4' not having a 64bit operating system, I was expecting your thread to be heaving with activity, (echo) clearly they don't really care, can't be bothered, are just being a...

Re: Pi4 as Desktop computer

For USB boot, use a SD card to redirect boot to the USB device you want to boot from. The only difference from native USB boot is you need a SD with with just bootcode.bin on it and some config. I have seen a few posts suggesting this as the current solution for USB booting but does this actually w...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Doesn't sound as though the screen you are using is giving the correct CEC info to the Pi, my Pi always knows what the standard resolution of the display I have connected is. Check your screen has CEC enabled or search the forums for forcing a particular resolution, or start another thread, as this ...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Hi, I used your advice about setting Display refresh rate to 'on start/stop' and set up the highest resolution in Kodi to 4096 x 2160. On other side my Raspbian resolution stayed on 1920x1080, 60.00Hz. Not sure if Raspbian buster resolution means something but this one fits nicely to my TV screen, ...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Sorry you replied while I was editing my previous reply, I was wrong, and was correcting it, the Standard Kodi install uses 320M for GPU. Ok I have now connected it up to my main 4K TV, before I was playing a 4K source, through a standard hi res monitor. my TV is 3840x2160@30Hz as standard. I have t...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

For me 4k is not working very well. I tried following resolutions in Kodi under settup: 3840 x 2160, 30Hz and 4096 x 2160, 30Hz. Audio seems to work fine but not in the sync. with picture, probably because picture is stuttering big time, not watchable at all. Video used was not 4k but 1280 x 720 vi...

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Hi Marvin, ;-) I've installed your Kodi on my Pi4, working great, I've tried to stress it by playing 4K HEVC (h265) & it didn't even work up a sweat, about 10% CPU usage, processor not getting above 60C. Thank you for providing this build, with any luck someone will put it in the official repository...

Re: Q3lite - Quake III Arena for the Raspberry Pi

Hi John,
Yes I had done the firmware update as well, I just copied and pasted every command in order, till I finished. :-)
I strongly suspect it was caused by the fact that my Stretch was an upgrade from Jessie, not a straight Stretch installation.
Regards, Kevin.

I read the manufacturer pdf states 12v for input and this really works stable at 9v? Connecting the output of the input power 9v to the dc in jack should work also, correct? Try qualifying your Google search with "site:raspberrypi.org" it's a FAQ on here.
I must be being incredibly stupid as I can't find anything similar to this problem on these forums, no FAQ either.

Kevin.

I recently had this problem. I have a 16Gb micro sd card, (with no external lock) which has on it Noobs with Risc OS, Raspbian, LibreElec.
