Re: Operation not possible due to RF-kill

Yep, I’ve strayed into this quagmire as well. On Raspbian Stretch I tried out: #turn off radio power iwconfig wlan0 txpower off # turn off wifi interface ifconfig wlan0 disable Now the WiFi is off every time I reboot. Following the above: rfkill list all sudo rfkill unblock all sudo ip link set wlan...

Re: RPI3 random Hangs.

I’m running a few continually running python scripts. I’m wondering if I’m blowing a number of processes.

Code: Select all

ulimit
looks promising but there’s not a great deal of working numbers on what I could set it to and then the ramifications of when the limits are hit.

RPIzW Stretch 24/7 running

I'm running a Raspberry Pi Zero W 24/7 as a headless server - no screen, mouse or keyboard access. I'm using the latest cut of Stretch. It connects to the internet via wifi - doesn't need bluetooth. What services can I drop from systemctl to get this as lean as possible? secondly, what's the best to...

RPI3 random Hangs.

I've been having this problem for a while and to no avail have I been able to track down the source of this problem. I've migrated to Raspbian Stretch and still getting this same hard to describe accurately problem. I've found this https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=156287 post ...

Re: Raspbian Stretch goes AWOL

Thank you for you thoughts. I have plugged it into a screen and keyboard before, however it's shared screen/keyboard and I couldn't leave it long enough to spot the fault. I'll try again over the weekend. I'll also check my scripts to ensure they're not looping to tightly and thus crippling the devi...

Raspbian Stretch goes AWOL

Hello all, hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction: TL;DR : Raspbian Stretch running on Raspberry Pi Zero W, running 24/7, every so after (once or twice every couple of days) goes into hibernation for an hour or so. I'm trying to find out what it causing this and asking it ve...

Re: User group in Bristol

Hello there! I'm Bristol based and have a Pi on order. Happy to come along to a user group. A couple of my Bristol based mates also have Pi's on order who I'm sure I can get to turn up as well.

Very reminiscent of the Homebrew Computer Club
