Re: Fedora ARM on Raspberry Pi

RorschachUK, you're a star - thanks for that. Excellent

Slightly curious as to if it can be done in Disk Utility - Restore but it's not important. I suspect not as that seems to restore to an existing partition.

The plot thickens. I feel your pain. My partner has a work laptop with XP on it I think - when I can get my hands on it I'll try it on there and see if I can help more unless someone with XP can help quicker...

Re: Fedora ARM on Raspberry Pi

Hmmm. Can you run DiskPart (from the cmd line), then "LIST DISK" OK ?

Re: Fedora ARM on Raspberry Pi

<t>steviewevie, if it only says "Device" after pressing the refresh button next to it, it's highly likely it's just not running as administrator. I don't have an XP machine here. On Vista if you right click on the installer in Explorer and choose "Run as Administrator" (rather than just double-click...

Re: Fedora ARM on Raspberry Pi

Can I just say a big thanks to Chris Tyler, Jon Chiappetta and the whole team for this and in particular for making this such a pain-free process of installation. Keep up the great work, it's much appreciated.

Re: Using RPi in an "ICT Classroom"

Indeed.

Having said all the above, I do think the RPi + Gertboard (or similar) + battery power could, in the future, be very interesting for more advanced school projects (rovers etc.)

Re: Gertboard

This is a fantastic project, congratulations on getting so far. Really looking forward to purchasing one. I would imagine if it is possible to make a finished board that plugs straight onto the Pi, it would not take a lot of school orders to create a LOT of demand. Keep up the good work
