Error during i2c package installation

To install i2c package first I entered following command:
"sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/raspi-blacklist.conf"
which opens a nano file in which i have to put # before the
"blacklist i2c-bcm2708".
But this nano file is empty,it doesn't contain above statement. what should i do?

Thanks in advance!!!

how to run a program for particular duration?

I have a program of dht11 which runs continuously. When I want to stop it I just press 'Ctrl+c'.
But if I want to run it for a particular interval like 4 hrs or 5 hrs and the program should stop automatically after that time. Then how can I do it?

Re: Problem in accessing DHT11 sensor

There is a small modification to do with Joan's code for the DHT11. I made a post about the DHT11 and web pages. You will find the change to do for Joan's DHT22 class to accept the DHT11. http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=672406#p672406 Now my dht11 is running correctly!!! Thank You...

Re: Problem in accessing DHT11 sensor

I didn't see any delay on your code. You know that the dht11 needs to have a pause, a least one second, between readings. Put a time.sleep(1.0) inside your loop. I have given delay at the end of program.Still it is not giving reading continuously. So where should I keep that delay? Thank you in Adv...

Re: Problem in accessing DHT11 sensor

as far as i can remember the DHTxx datasheet explains that the logic bit "1" or "0" is specified by the duration of state low of line. I can't see in your code this sort of check.. am i wrong? are you basing your reading on the "mean" numbero of 0 and 1 python can read in the data.append(GPIO.input...
