Re: RPI2 Boot issues

I think its a case of finding a card that works by trial and error. If you can get your money back on the Transcend cards then do. This is the card that works for me (ancient but I don't need a fast card). They do a 32GB version. http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDSDQ-016G-FFP-MicroSDHC-Memory-Card/d...

The "rainbow square" is, respectfully, not nothing. What does the green light do? This may also help

Re: RBPi 2 boot errors (50% of the time)

Again, I'm new but symptoms were exactly the same for me. The above reply says check power. Do you get a constant red light? Were the power adapters bought as "being compatible with rapi2"? Re: RBPi 2 boot errors (50% of the time)

Hi, I'm new(ish) so take my comments with a pinch of salt... I had mmc errors 50% of the time. It was the sdcard. (samsung evo).
Which cards have you tried? And which format instructions did you use?

Re: Brand new RPi2 wont boot

Unreliable RPI2 boots with a Samsung EVO MB-MP08D (NOOBS installed by modmypi).
Works reliably (but slow) with an ancient sandisk (SDSDQ-016G-FFP).

Will try a deep reformat of the EVO tonite.

Re: temp sensors?

Thanks - got the sensors to work straight away. Problem is booting is dodgy - about 50% success rate. PSU is ok, looks like a dodgy SD card (Samsung Evo).

Re: RPI2 Boot issues

RPI2 random boot issues here too. With SAMSUNG EVO 8GB MB-MP08D (korea) from modmypi (NOOBS). Using pukka PSU. 50% failure rate approx - just lots of "disk" errors (not sure of exact error - too many to list; green/yellow light stays on for a couple of minutes). I've had to reinstall once. EDIT: giv...

Re: temp sensors?

Thanks Dougie - I'm a softie and so tend to buy hardware to make the job as simple as possible (so temp sensors on a 1m lead makes life much easier for me :-) Very briefly (yes I'm a newbie) is there an "obvious" raspberry pi to go for? (only non-standard requirement is a wifi connector so I can sen...

temp sensors?

Hello. Any advice for a newbie please. I'm after a (uk) kit with a couple if temp sensors (internal use, with a few feet of cable).
Where to look for starters? cheers.
