I tried playing DVDs from a Pi with an Apple SuperDrive a while ago. You might find this thread helpful.

Re: Flask server won't start due to the lack of lib

I just tried using the standard Raspbian packages instead of using a virtual environment with PyPi packages (installed using pip3). This is running on RPi4B with up-to-date Raspbian packages. I suspect there is something unusual about your installation, because your project appears to work fine for ...

Re: Flask server won't start due to the lack of lib

I'm sorry to hear that. Can you tell me the versions of all the required packages you are using? Did you install everything using apt? Did you install any using pip/pip3? I'll try to reproduce the problem if I have enough information.

I see most of the technical solutions to control kids access to web sites as a form of intelligence test. You can tell the smart ones by how quickly the evade the restrictions.
Agreed. It's very nice of you to set up such a challenge for them, OP.

Re: Flask server won't start due to the lack of lib

As for avoiding that error message you were seeing, maybe try this before running your app. export LD_PRELOAD=/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgcc_s.so.1 The package libgcc1 provides that file. (venv) pi@raspberrypi:~/software/myproject $ dpkg -S /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgcc_s.so.1 libgcc1:armhf: /lib...

Sorry. I don't mean to be rude, but if you want me to try anything else, then I'll expect you to tell me exactly what code you want me to try and where. I'm not familiar with your project. Re: Flask server won't start due to the lack of lib

Those are cross-compiler tools you found on GitHub. I don't think that's what you want. I suggested libgcc-8-dev, because that package provides libgcc_s.so.1 as seen here: pi@raspberrypi:~ $ dpkg -L libgcc-8-dev /. /usr /usr/lib /usr/lib/gcc /usr/lib/gcc/arm-linux-gnueabihf /usr/lib/gcc/arm-linux-gn...

Re: seeking downloadable media player "skip" icons ?

I don't believe you will find existing icon sets with all those skip options. 10 skip option buttons??

I'd suggest finding a free skip forward 15 seconds icon and skip backward 15 seconds icon in SVG format. Then edit them in Inkscape to create the rest of the skip option icons you want.

Re: DVFS Firmware

I just apt-upgraded one of my overclocked Pi4Bs and it then failed to reboot (stuck at the 4 Raspberry logos). Attempting to boot again completely destroyed the boot partition, just like it did when I had previously tested the DVFS firmware with rpi-update. I had to reformat the boot partition and r...

Maybe try this:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get -o Acquire::ForceIPv4=true update
sudo apt-get -o Acquire::ForceIPv4=true install xinput-calibrator

Conky configs must be in the newer Lua syntax since Conky version 1.10. This is what that config might look like in the newer syntax: /home/pi/.conkyrc conky.config = { background = true, use_xft = true, font = '123:size=8', xftalpha = 0.1, update_interval = 0.5, total_run_times = 0, own_window = tr...

Hello, I followed that advice, no messages, should be okay right? That SHOULD be OK without knowing anything else. A daemon-reload is required after changes have been made to a unit file. That is normal provided the unit file was modified for a legitimate reason. However, if this message was returne...

Based on my experience and what I've read from other people testing, HFP does not work with the onboard Bluetooth interface on the Pi3B. You will likely need a separate USB Bluetooth adapter.

Re: Cannot get program to auto-start on boot.

Well, you don't need to use sudo, things run from /etc/rc.local already run as root. . . . pigpiod & #this loads the pigpio daemon python /home/pi/AshPrograms/gauges-withobd-BoostControl-08.py & #and this is my python program exit 0 If the above doesn't work, then you could add some logging to the l...
