Re: JavaFX application not working on Raspbian Stretch/Raspberry Pi Zero W 1.1

The Raspbian system ships with two libGLESv2 implementations, Broadcom and Mesa 3D. The August 2017 Raspbian release moved Broadcom's GLESv2 and EGL library to a custom prefix name (libbrcm*) in order to expose the two different implementations under two different names. This namechange fixed a lot ...

Re: spi DS1390 / DS1394

I advice you to look at using the kernel module and a device tree overlay to add the ds1390 to your system as a system realtime clock. I could not find any examples online how to configure a device tree for the ds1390 thus I have created something here that you can look at and use as a reference. I ...

Re: spi DS1390 / DS1394

Can you share the devicetree .dts configuration you made?

Trickle charge support was added first in 2015 for the linux kernel driver thus you may need a fairly recent 4.4 linux kernel if you require such support.

Re: Java FX on non-console LCD

My LCD is one of the many 3.5 320x480 SPI models like the Waveshare model (which I discovered later). I have successfully tested my panels using the Adafruit tutorial and helps for having the system boot with the console on the LCD. However, I want to leave the console in its default configuration ...

Re: android

If you want to run Android on your Raspberry Pi then i recommend that you try this Android build for the Raspberry Pi called RaspAnd:
http://raspex.exton.se/?p=144

This will allow you to run your own .apk applications on the Pi.

Re: Java OpenGL pipline and the new VC4 drivers

The developers of the VC4 driver is aware that Raspbian currently ships with a broken OpenGL setup: it is _not_ ok to ship a system with two incompatible versions of OpenGL ES side by side because this breaks all applications that tried to load OpenGL ES dynamically such as JOGL and GStreamer. Only ...
