Re: Will ____ run on the Raspberry Pi?

Jell0zz,

I've seen that the pi is compared to smartphones because of the ARM chip. I wouldn't really call it a smartphone, possible a "phone-less smart"? or something like that?

Re: Injection Molded Case!

<t>Alfanhui,<br/> <br/> The case isn't much bigger than Pi itself. I've given an extra two millimeters above and below the pi. Just to visualize, take your wallet out and chances are it will be smaller than that. The curve in the top is to accommodate the ethernet and usb ports. If you plan on gluin...

<t>It is understandable that things haven't been developed for the Raspberry Pi. But there will be people who want to use it as a $35 computer. Not a development platform. <r>There is a lot of people like me who have no idea what limitations there are of the Raspberry Pi. That project reminds me of http://www.8020.net/. We use this at my job to build quick fixtures for holding large assemblies during assembly. They are super versatile and can easily be built.

Re: Beta Boards mechanical data

Gert,

Is there any chance that you could at least post an .igs or .dxf of the board layout?

It would be much more accurate than caliper measurements.

Thanks for all the work you've done too!

ujamer,

Thanks, I just saw the pictures Liz posted. No crazy SD card, now if we could just get them to respin the board so that the connectors only face out of two sides rather than all four like an octopus.

Although I think I'll need to rework the design quite a bit.
If you look at the underside it has the SD card sticking out. This frustrates me to no end.
