Re: Enable 3 Wire SPI aka Bidirectional, half duplex SPI

To Joan, I keep the CS pin to GND so the chip continuously converting. I think I can do step 2). Do you think you can clarify step 3)? I can write on SPI using PI4J using a 3 dimension byte array. But I get no result stored in it. while True 1) set CS low 2) wait for SDO to go low 3) perform 24 bit ...

Re: Enable 3 Wire SPI aka Bidirectional, half duplex SPI

To respond to the question regarding the validity of the online datasheet. The online page providing technical details is wrong. Why? because I have the PDF datasheet and the module in my hand. The PDF datasheet does not say the same thing as the web page "datasheet". The PDF datasheet seems to be i...

Re: Enable 3 Wire SPI aka Bidirectional, half duplex SPI

I have checked the datasheet online at https://www.mikroe.com/ozone-2-click and it is in error. The board does not have SDI, it is NC. The MCP3550 chip which is on the board specifies 3-wire SPI. For this module there is no MOSI or MISO. It is one line called SDO/--RDY-- My only hope at this time mi...

Re: Enable 3 Wire SPI aka Bidirectional, half duplex SPI

Hello,

I have tried to connect only MOSI or MISO. It does not work.

I believe the chip probably needs to be configured to use half duplex i.e talk and listen on the same pin. Not the default configuration.

Enable 3 Wire SPI aka Bidirectional, half duplex SPI

Hello All, I am trying to interface with the Ozone2Click sensor and it requires a 3 wire SPI communication. I am using Java and PI4J library. It seems there is no way out of the box to use the SPI interface in a half duplex/3 wire configuration. The information I found is that the linux kernel can d...

Pi zeros and Pi zero w no HDMI but does install stretch

Allo, All my PI zeros (3) won't display anything after power ON. There is activity as the green LED is flashing. But nothing shows up? I have had 2 PI 1 model B+, 3 PI2 and 2 PI 3 ... all work, all boot, all show Raspbian up and running. So I fail to see what I did wrong with the PI Zeros??? I check...

Re: Jessie: icedove and midori no autostart

It works using ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart. It is more logical to do it there. Thank you!! However, I am getting discouraged with linux. Things are not stable and it seems there are multiple ways to do things. Why the old way not working anymore? Why are there three LXDE autostarts files (...

Jessie: omxplayer won't respond to keystrokes

I have executed omxplayer on jessie using the lxterm. Used the option -o local for the analog audio output.

The movie is playing but there is no way to stop it. No way fast forward either. Seems to ignore keystrokes.

The -b (blank screen) did not work as well

Re: Jessie: Keyboard settings not saved

Yes, I tried several times with raspi-config followed by a re-boot. No luck.

raspi-config no longer has the French Canada option. Only French. The graphical tool does have the French Canada choice so they are not consistent.

Jessie: icedove and midori no autostart

I edited the autostart file in LXDE-pi to add midori and idedove. Both apps are installed. @lxpanel --profile LXDE-pi @pcmanfm --desktop --profile LXDE-pi @xscreensaver -no-splash @sh ${HOME}/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autokey.sh @midori @icedove No autostart happens for these last 2 apps. Jessie taskbar: application list incomplete

Hi,

Just updated to Jessie 2015-10-15. I tried to put on the taskbar the shortcuts for icedove, iceweasel and midori and they do not appear on the list.

1) Right click
2) Apps bar Setting
3) Select internet -> not there.

But they are available on the main menu.

I have update the PI2 to the latest software. I started Epiphany and went to Youtube. I was unable to play a video. Re: PI2 - Several Browsers, Issues and Crashes

I only use one page at a time. I am using the latest updates without errors. I have used Epiphany in the past and ran to similar problems. So I am running out of browsers to use. I suspect it could be linked to the WIFI interface sw and a buffer issue. Could be. Since the depth of the problem seems ...

PI2 - CPU stuck at 36% steady, temperature up to 60 deg

When accessing yahoo finance http://finance.yahoo.com/ using midori I get often a CPU stuck at 34-36% causing the CPU temperature to rise to 60 deg +. This seems to happen on other busy web pages as well. The page seems not to load completely and is not responsive. Exiting Midori will bring down the...

Midori will also exit without warning.

Chrome also showed some self crash.

Works as specified. Many thanks.

Can you point to me the documentation that would explain the boot process and sequence of Raspbian?

I have tried with no success using the web. So I had to resort to the forum to find out how to intercept the autologin at boot.
