Controller Board v1.2

Hi, I am one of these guys who bought an Official Raspberry Pi Display right after it appeared on the market. The controller shipped with these early displays was version 1.0 of the board. As I would love to have the ability to adjust the backlight of the display I am desperately looking for a newer...

Pi Zero W with IPEX U.FL mounting space?

Hi, as I can see, there is an plain, unpopulated space on the new Pi Zero W PCB (close to the Micro-USB OTG Port) which looks like a mounting space for an IPEX U.FL antenna connector (to connect an external WiFi antenna). May anybody from the Raspberry Pi Foundation confirm this please? http://mouse...

Edimax EW7612UAN V2 (RTL8192SU) Access Point

Hi,

is there a driver for the Edimax EW7612UAN V2 (which has the RTL8192SU chipset) to be used as an access point? The wifi dongle seems to be unsupported by the latest Jessie (light and full) releases...

Re: PiZero + New PiCam - get's disconnected

As the PiZero and the PiCam are part of a robot there is no monitor connected to the HDMI Output. To counter check a possible power issue, I've connected a monitor and got no rainbow square on the top right of the screen. It is not a power issue... Some minutes later the screen blanked and the camer...

Re: PiZero + New PiCam - get's disconnected

I don't think it is a power issue. The same power supply has no problem powering a Pi B+, Pi2 or even Pi3... the PiZero should consume less power than all of these.

It looks like about 10 minutes after booting (to CLI) when the camera disappears :(

PiZero + New PiCam - get's disconnected

Hi, I am experiencing a strange problem with the PiZero v1.3 and the new PiCam v2.0 - right after booting everything is fine, raspistill and raspivid are available - images and videos are taken. After a couple of minutes the PiCam get's lost, raspistill and raspivid are not working anymore. If I rec...

Does anybody have a source for a Pi zero camera cable longer than 15cm? I would need about 30cm but I can't find any other cable than the official 15cm cable.

Headless RaspiCam

Hi, I set up a headless A+ with nothing but a WiFi dongle. Using a rudimentary script through the crontab, it should capture an image with the RaspiCam every 5 minutes. This works with a monitor connected to the HDMI port. If the Monitor is disconnected the cam hangs and fails to take an image (the ...

Re: Display / Pi Power - Wiring

When powering the display with the power supply connected to the Pi and GPIO wires passing the power to the display it appears to be fine, I did not experience any low power issues with the display. My concern/question is if this wiring might damage the Pi seriously. On the other hand, there are two...

Re: Display / Pi Power - Wiring

So then I tried the GPIO jumper leads that came in the pack and that gives me perfect results. So I stuck with that for the time being. I chose the GPIO jumper wires too, but where is your power supply connected to? To the touchscreen controller board or to the Pi? I use the display with the power ...

Re: Display / Pi Power - Wiring

I have tried two different types of USB cables, quiet poor and good quality with no difference at all. I did not try an extra short USB cable because there is none in my gear. I tried with the enclosed jumper wires but got the same bad result. Using two separate power supplies works for sure. Is the...

Display / Pi Power - Wiring

I've got a Pi 2 and the Pi display and I am experiencing power issues too. Same issue with the e...

Re: Issues with Pi Cam and Pi Display?

I have a display, a RPi 2 and a camera. There is a keyboard attached and a wifi usb dongle. Using a standard RPi power supply, the camera will take pictures with raspistill and raspivid without the low voltage icon appearing. This is exactly what I have - a Pi 2B, the Pi display, a Pi NoIR camera a...

Re: Issues with Pi Cam and Pi Display?

So this is the killer feature of the combination. If you want to use the Raspberry Pi display and the Raspberry Pi camera you will need two power supplies to let the magic happen. It is a power supply issue! If there is somebody out there following this thread who has got an 'official' Raspberry Pi ...

Just tried the other way round - connected the 5V/2A power supply to the display and supplying the Pi with a USB cable. I think my power supply is fine - it is a 5V/2A version and the power LED on the Pi board stays solidly (with no rainbow symbol on the screen) when powering the Pi, the Pi display and the Pi NoIR camera. I've also tried another power supply yesterday as I have a Pi USV+ flying around which is capabl...
