Does anyone have any ideas of what to put in the case (using the GPIO 5v)?

A light-up logo/name tag/just lights in general (which you can switch off, of course)

Re: GCSE Project: RPi Case

<t>1. From the Wiki: "The Raspberry Pi measures 85.60mm x 53.98mm x 17mm, with a little overlap for the SD card and connectors which project over the edges."<br/> <br/> If it's a GCSE project, though, it might be worth measuring it yourself. Prove your skills and bla bla bla (it was the same last ye...

<t>It looks very stylish, but you may have the issues of LED's and messy cabling being visible through the perforations. I guess if you tape up all the LED's, it wouldn't be a problem in a dark cinema/type room.<br/> <br/> To be honest, I think most media application cases that people are planning a...

Re: User group in Bristol

<t>I'm a Bristol kid in Sixth Form. I say kid and not "young adult", because things like the BBC Micro are way before my time, and the Pi is sort of my gateway to the simple computer world which I have never experienced. XP is about as simple as it ever got. I'm planning on running a home server on ...

<t>My first one is going in a server chassis I'm working on to replace the beasty HP Compaq dx6100 to run as file, torrent, and web server (I only get about 100 hits on a good day).<br/> <br/> The second may go to separate the web/file system above, or may go into a time-lapse machine to be mounted ...

<t>Being a keen photographer, I'd like to do a project involving a time lapse of a scene every hour for a whole year.<br/> <br/> I'd like to shove a RPi (model A), and a HD webcam in a box, powered by a/multiple solar panels and a 5V rechargeable battery.<br/> <br/> My question is - is there any way...

Re: Power Through USB Hub

Powered hubs tend to still draw current from the host, and taking this power from the host and pumping it back could grow risky.

Re: Idea: GCSE Mathematics exam practice device

<t>I'm a student currently doing AS Maths and Further maths, and I have never once used a computer for maths. Maybe for showing graph renders to the class, but maths is hard (for me) to do without blank paper to scribble on. I think until version 'x' of the RPi with a touch-screen surfaces, I'm not ...
