Re: Screen reader (Orca)

Cheers for that :)

I'm still a happy Pi user and will do your method next time I try a reinstall.

Re: Screen reader (Orca)

Certainly will - I will use it for a few days then report back how how I get on with it. As I said I'm not very good with Linux and was having to tell my other half what to do to get it going. Re: Screen reader (Orca)

Well it took few days as I'm not the most experience Linux user ;)

But after much fiddling I got ORCA running so I can now use my Pi properly even though I can't see it :)

Nice.

Re: How would you use a Raspberry Pi device?

I am going to use my Pi as an accessible pc that I can take round with me.

Most of the time all I need is a pc that can do office - email type stuff so it'll be ideal

Just got to see if I can get it to talk (screen reader) to me and all will be good

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hello,

Just a quickie to say hi

There's not much interesting to say about me.

I read about the Pi last year and am hoping to build a small accessible pc that I can carry around with me (As I'm registered blind).
