Re: Apple keyboard does not produce correct chars

thanks, now I can cleanly exit with 'sudo shutdown -h'. I really don't know, why it did not work before? Maybe I miss-typed or forgot the 'sudo'. Also the HP-keyboard is working correctly. Remains the problem of addressing my raspi via LAN from my MAC. Will study using RSS. Will I have the problem o...

Re: Apple keyboard does not produce correct chars

I have done all this and I still can not produce the special brackets "[, ], {, }. I gave up at this point and got myself a HP-keyboard with all the special keys. From left to right: Strg, a key with 3 curved lines, Alt, spacebar, Alt Gr, a key with 3 curved lines, a key with a document, another Str...

Apple keyboard does not produce correct chars

Hi, I am new to the RPi-World. I would like to use my RaspberryPi (Model B) with an Apple keyboard Model M2452 ( QWERTY - it came with a MAC G4) but it does not produce some characters such as '@' and the various brackets '[' , ']', '}' and '{'. I had set it up in the init-procedure to the 'Macintoh...

Re: No Disk Space on NOOBS-SDcard

The third Option is certainly out of Question. I only made one mistake - long ago - when I assumed that I had made a mistake!!!

Re: No Disk Space on NOOBS-SDcard

Will look for a better version of the ZIP-Program and repeat the process.
What I do not understand:
Why does copying the files from the original 8Gb SDCard onto the 32Gb Card not produce a working NOOBS card?

Re: What was your first computer?

Reading some of the entries in this Thread I feel like a 'Computer Fossil'. My first computer was a room full of Radio Tubes: A Zuse-Computer: Z22 in the early 50th at the University in Aachen Germany. It had 24 "fast" Memory cells (kernel) everything else had to be put on a drum. Programming was an...

No Disk Space on NOOBS-SDcard

I am new in the Raspberry-World. I took a new 32Gb SD-Cart and used the SD-Formatter for MAC to format it on my MAC according to the Instructions. Then copied the Files (93) from an original 8Gb RPI NOOBS SD-Card (v1.3.9 Build:Jul 8 2014). Put it into the RPI B and receive: Diskspace Needed: 0, Avai...
