Sensor to detect Vape smoke

I would like to use the Pi to detect the vapor exhaled by an e-cigarette but can't figure out what type of sensor to use. There are some commercially available detectors but they are marketed towards schools and are cost prohibitive. Even if you can just point me in the right direction that would be...

Re: DS18B20 and 30-Jan firmware

I just made a new noobs installation and the sensors I had working before will not show up either. The Folder for /sys/bus/w1/devices/ is completely empty. I thought I had things wired up wrong or fried my sensors but they are not. Tested on another pi with older version.

Help using Osaic (making a Mosaic)

Finally getting around to using one of my Raspberry Pi's in the classroom. :D I got the Camera add-on and set up a station to take pictures of a class's artwork using the timelapse function. I then set up Osaic https://pypi.python.org/pypi/osaic . It took me a while but I figured out the formatting ...

I could use 3 or 4. What would you charge for shipping? I am eventually trying to get 7 for my room but only have three right now.
Those looks nice BTW.

Follow this link. He posted it on google docs because others were having trouble too.

Also, says you can get it by git clone -ing the repo but I have not figured that out yet!

Hi, this is something I would like to try... But seem unable to download the img files from Github. Says they are to big! Or am I doing something wrong. I tried downloading this as well: Download the piui_plus_examples.zip file from https://raw.github.com/dps/piui-sdcards/master/piui_plus_examples....

Re: Help with Temperature Controle

When I do switch it around, it heats up very fast. I have tried most of my sensors and all of them do this.
Are the parts I'm using OK to use?

Re: AdvanceMAME help

I did not have the spaces in between each character. Thanks.

dir_rom /home/pi/.advance/rom:/home/pi/mame//share/advance/rom

I put a copy of the rom in each folder just in case but still it shows
"ERROR: required files are missing, the game cannot be run."

What does the "//" mean in the second path?

Using the Pi to measure Decibels

I think for my first project I want to create a decibel meter to measure noise level in my school's cafeteria. I am designing the GUI and want to have the noise level shown like a volume meter and have certain pictures shown based on the decibel level. This will be shown on a projector that all coul...
