Re: DOSBOX

Hi guys! I finally got it working! It was easier than I thought. Has to be mounted like other versions (Windows for example). This way works on dosbox from packman and fastdosbox (e.g. not so fast on Risc OS): "Z:>MOUNT C /GAMES/PINBALL" then press enter; "Z:>C:" and click enter; "Z:>PINBALL" + ente...

Re: Buying From The Pi Store

Hi fruitoftheloom!

I've already tried to compile the sources but configuring failed due to conflicting programs. Will make a pristine install of Raspbian and take another shot at it. Thanks for your input! ;)

Sincerely Yours,
Mats

Buying From The Pi Store

Hi!

I've tried to buy FASTDOSBOX several times from the Pi Store but the redirection to PayPal fails every time. What could cause this? I'm running Raspbian.

Mats

Re: DOSBOX

Hi DavidS! Sorry for the delay in my response to your questions and thank you for the input. I just went the easy way that I've done on other computers (e.g. OS'es). In this case I installed dosbox using packman. After that I just created a directory in the root of the SD card. Unzipping the game an...

DOSBOX

I have tried several times to get dosbox to work in Risc OS. I have installed it with Packman and I'm trying to get an old pinball game to work. I can mount C with the path to the game but when I issue the command to start the game (I've tried various commands like: PINBALL (works in raspbian) PINBA...

Hi tank!
Finally I was able to make a new installation on an 8 GB SD card. Had some issues with the boot partition but SystemDisc was able to fix those issues. Thanks for your help! :D

Re: Limited storage space?

Thanks for your input tank! I have already read these instructions but they don't show how to make the whole SD card available to the system but rather to make a new system SD card, which by the way doesn't work very well since the files needed aren't available. I have made some experiments accordin...

Re: Limited storage space?

Hi again! Now I have purchased the SystemDisk program but there is no documentation on how to use this program to make the whole micro SD card (8 GB) available to the Risc OS. If someone could walk me through it I would greatly appreciate that. Tried to make a new system disk of another SD card but ...

Re: Limited storage space?

Hi guys!

Is there a way to use the HForm (included in the RPi image; I think :) ) to use the whole SD card for Risc OS? Would be very grateful if I get some help here. ;)

Word+ From NutPi Won't Work on RPi 2

I just got my nutpi on a micro sd card. I copied the contents, just according to the instructions, to the Risc OS micro sd card. I unzipped it with !SparkFS and copied it to the Apps folder on the card. When double left clicking on the icon I get an error message asking if I want to continue. I've t...

Re: Overscan? RESOLVED

Works just as in Raspbian. The ideal for me with the RPi 2 is -32 on all sides. Leaves like 8 pixels black around the screen so it doesn't reflect on the plastic frame on the TV. Thanks for all your input!!! ;)

Re: Overscan?

Actually there is no overscan option in the config file. I just want some help with making it work without making to much experimenting that might crasch the system alltogether.

Overscan?

When I run Risc OS Pi on a Raspberry Pi 2 i get like an inch of black screen all around (I'm using a 32" TV as a screen). Is there some way to change that? I tried to change the settings of the screen but that just messed up everything worse. In different distros for the Raspberry Pi there is a func...

Risc OS Pi RC14 Now Available

The new version of Risc OS for the Raspberry Pi is finally available on the download site for Risc OS. I've just tried it on a B+ so far but it seems to be a big leap forward even if it's still considered a beta version. I'll post the link below. https://www.riscosopen.org/content/downloads/raspberr...

Getting the Abaco web browser to work

Hi! I've been playing around with Plan 9 for a few days getting to know how it works. I've seen that the web browser Abaco should be a part of the system but trying to start it there is and error message of a missing file and it seems that "Glenda" doesn't have the privilegies to fix it. Any help gr...

Overscan

Hi guys! I'm running Risc OS using a TV as screen. It's a 32 inch TV but there is a black border around so the whole screen isn't used. In some distros for the Raspberry Pi, like FUZE-BASIC and Raspbian there is a possibility to "Overscan" which sorts this problem out and gives you a full screen exp...

VNC Server for Risc OS

Hi Y'all!

Would like to be able to work on Risc OS using an iPad just as I do with Raspbian. Is there a VNC server that can be used to do this. Would be awesome! Any hints appreciated. Since I'm new to Risk OS it's kind of like a learning process. Thanks beforehand!

Have fun with Risc OS,

Hi again guys! Thanks for your willingness to help out. I had in the back of my mind seeing icon for the keyboard in config but since my screen (the telly) is occupied mostly it's kind of hard to try out things that pop up in your head. I'll go for it when MY SCREEN is free for use. Actually Risc OS...

Re: Swedish Keyboard Layout

Hi elatllat! Thanks for your effort to help! Actually I have this webpage bookmarked already. I must clarify my problem. The problem is that I, as a noobie when it comes to Arch Linux, is using a GUI, LXDE to be exact and that is what makes it a problem, I think. It seems to me that the keyboard lay...
