Not able to access PI remotely

When I run tools using sudo i2cdetect -y 1 I do not see my pi. However when I go into my router settings and look under DHCP I see raspberypi 192.168.1.11 is this normal? I thought the purpose of running tools was to identify what was on the network.

Also under blacklist is there anything that should not have # preceeding

It has been a few days and I have bought and loaded new NOOBS card and have everything working to the point of adding LCD Screen. I have performed all 4 above steps with no fatal errors. Checked blacklist made sure I had a # in front of file name, did a reboot and still not able to detect.

Wrong I2C. sudo i2cdetect -y 1 Unless you have a very old model B. Or the i2c-dev and i2c-bcm2708 modules aren't loaded or might be blacklisted. I believe have a model A not B I tried both codes 0 and 1 neither one worked. Also searched for blacklist files and not showed. I am new using Linux so I ...

Just purchased Pi with NOOBS and followed set up video. got IP address and got a message 10.0.0.1 is asking for your user name and password. The server reports that it is from DI-604. Where do I go from here?
