Comix

I installed Comix on Raspbian Jessie with apt-get install comix, and it works but it doesn't show any image.
I took care to install unrar-free, though.

Hi.
My sister is traveling to Washington and I asked her to bring me some Raspberries.
Would you know where she can buy them?

Re: Red Pi 2

There is not red Pi 2 currently. And few weeks ago I contacted the red Pi distributor about Pi 2, they told me they had not a production plan yet. If your friend know Chinese, you could tell him go to http://www.taobao.com to find a green Pi 2 in China. Thanks. How much would the Green Pis cost in ...

Red Pi 2

Are Pi model 2 available in Red (made and sold in China) already? If not, when will they be on sale?
A friend of mine is going there soon but is not a computer guy, I'll need to tell him exactly what to buy and where, so I need the info.
Thanks in advance!

Old Pi for free?

I think that many old Pis will be put aside by their owners now that the awesome Pi 2 is available, I'd like to have some of them Old Faithfuls to give freely around me in Dakar (I guess that the Lomé fablab will be happy to get some too, but I'm not going there; and I'm not presently in contact wit...

Re: GCompris?

Some news: the school board was offered standard PCs so the class I'll be teaching next month (hopefully: the classroom is not ready yet) will not be on Pi. Though, the school is interested in the Pi 2 I told them about and will probably order a small lot to experiment with them (I'll probably be th...

OK, thanks.
I never used Kodi, do I need to burn a specific SD for it or can it run on Raspbian?
Or is there another cbr/cbz reader on Raspbian?

Re: adobe flash player with raspberry

Thanks for your answers, but you're actually confusing me... We are both talking about the same Scratch, which has two versions, 1.4 based on Smalltalk/Squeak, and 2.0 based on Flash, are we? I never taught on a Pi but with PCs I taught on Scratch 1.4 (before there was an offline Scratch 2.0) and on...

Re: adobe flash player with raspberry

Apparently, the fork I was talking about exists, it's Phratch (the features of Scratch 2.0 ported in Pharo, an open-source Smalltalk). Alas, according to the Phratch main developer, it's absolutely not optimized for the Pi and runs very slowly on standard Pi - he says he hasn't tested it on Pi 2 yet...

Re: GCompris?

1 - Yes, I was talking about the Pi 2, I got it mixed with the B+, my bad. 2 - I'm not sure when (or even if) I'll deploy it in a classroom: I want to suggest Pi 2 as an alternative to the school board, I don't make the decisions myself. They are thinking about refurbishing a computer room where all...

Is there a way to install Adobe AIR on Pi? Raspbian preferably?
On Linux it is sort of a PITA (only old version availables, and on 64 bits there are additional steps) but I did it and it works.

Re: adobe flash player with raspberry

I would like to use Scratch 2.0 on Raspberry computers, is there a way to? Like somebody said, there are versions of flash for Android, so flash can (more or less awkwardly) work on ARM. I totally agree that the decision by the Scratch development team to ditch Smalltalk/Squeak for Adobe Flash when ...
