Hello,

maybe is there a software with input Rpi-Cam and output 2 virtual video device or raspivid record a file and pipe the frames forward to motion?
Motion can pipe the raw Video to stdin, can raspivid record from stdin?

i have the same Problem, i install Rasbian and Motion and all working.
After unplug and move the RPI to the right place i get this error.
Raspistill has given me the right tip, i have only 32 MB gpu splittmemory.
After change to 128 MB Motion work.

I have found the problem.
Jackd shows after starting an output and does not release the console.
Now i start jackd with nohub and "2>/dev/null &" at the end.

my problem is, i cut off the power supply and the Pi reboot.
But SSH still not working.

Hello, after a reboot my Rpi do not accept a ssh connection. For a Test i try the Rpi-monitor, the startpage is viewing, but rpi can't access the json datei. where you write the Motion files, on an exern shared folder over WiFi?
My Edimax connection was still poor and i change to Netis 300 Mbps Wireless N USB adapter with dual antenna.
Look at you Wifi Signal "sudo ifconfig wlan0 up" or "watch -n 1 cat /proc/net/wireless"

i use a 5V/DC 1200mA power supply, with B+, Camera, WiFi and a 150mA IR Emitter.
it works without problems.
