Re: Looking for a nice new Case and happen to love Amiga?

Sorry my point was that the Amiga has not been abandoned whilst there's a dedicated following who will never let the old girl die ,sentimental ,yes but still a thrill to use after all these years so lets not be too quick as to condemn as abandoned, best wishes Brian.

In fact, as I happen to have a spare monitor, I have just bought another Raspberry Pi 2 so that I can I have a separate Linux machine without having to fiddle with micro-SDcards. Well I am pleased and grateful for...

Re: Antivirus Firewall ?

Hi do we use any protection on the Raspberry pi whilst using Risc or one of the other OS and if so which would be the best to use, Brian. AFAIAA there are very few hackers who would understand RiscOS RiscOS, Unix, Linux, OSX do not have the vulnerabilities which are worth exploiting by Hackers. Cha...

Re: Antivirus Firewall ?

For Raspbian look at user-friendly firewall (ufw). For RiscOS don't bother, running it as a internet client machine is going to be safe enough because it's not a viable target for the hackers. They choose Windows as their primary target because a) it started with no security and the bolt-on securit...

Re: Raspbmc no wifi

XBMC has a GUI that allows you to choose the SSID (network id) and enter the password. It's just a case of driving round the menus to find that stuff. http://thepihut.com/pages/how-to-setup-wifi-on-your-raspberry-pi-openelec-xbmc Hi Dougie did what you said and it worked straight away and has youtu...

I've had the same trouble as Brian more than once installing RaspBMC via NOOBS, but I've no idea why. That's why I suggested using the genuine RaspBMC live installer as recommended by the author. I've never had a problem with it. Unbelievable to say the least ,I have to say I am truly grateful to y...

Re: OS sd copy

Get a USB SDCard reader. Plug that in to your RPi, plug the second card into the reader and it should appear as /dev/sda sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblkp0 of=/dev/sda bs=10M will create a clone of your current running card on the card in the reader. Thank you very my friend ,very grateful to yopu ,Brian :)
