Can you show me yours? I've had a few cases I'm not happy with, way too many choices and most are poor quality

Thanks

heatsink (ceramic)

https://www.element14.com/community/community/raspberry-pi/raspberrypi_projects/blog/2016/03/03/raspberry-pi-3-cooling-heat-sink-ideas Interesting article above says a 25x25 Mm ceramic (flat) heatsink will fit and not require a fan. The heat tests seemed impressive. I'm having difficulty finding a s...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

A few questions: the memory split option says 256/ 256 ?? Don't I have 1 gig on a raspberry pi 3? Shouldn't it be 512/512? Can I transfer the installation of berry boot and installed os's to another hard drive ? How do i update berry boot to,a newer version? Any difficulties pop up using berry boot ...

cec adaptor pi3

I was surprised the answer to this is so convoluted. I even found an article about diodes and clamps!!! Both me and my father have a pi3 and a 32 inch led monitor, so why is it that his tv remote can control openelec and mine can't ?? I checked that the pheriphal is enabled. So what else determines ...

crashes

I get some random freezing. To a large degree I diagnosed and drastically reduced the crashes, by making available more video memory (pi 2 with openelec installed via berry boot) But I still get random crashes. They seem to occur during the loading of video libraries. For example search something on...

Re: HDMI Audio Drops Out Periodically

I Don't know if this is related, but my audio is also HDMI. And the audi randomly cuts out and requires a restart to cone back,on. Stopping and restarting the video doesn't fix it. Even if I start from the beginning. Even playing a different audio/ video file won't work, you have to restart. I have ...

Re: reliable psu needdd

I'll try the official one i, suppose. Strange how it didn't come up in the sort by average customers reviews on Amazon though. Btw i, use the usb cables that come with the psus or my smartphone, so Samsung or LG g5 supplied cable. I doubt they are poor quality, especially the g5 as it supports quick...

reliable psu needed

Search here for "power supply" won't work, because it's too "common" Need a good power adaptor for the pi3 if its also reliable for the pi2 would be great as I'll get two and my spare is a pi2 Hoping it will solve the coloured square icon on openelec and maybe make the system more stable. Thanks

Re: rpi 3 model b COOLING

I found the flirc case on Amazon, but only for pi 2 ! Based on the comments it doesn't even properly fit pi2 b, so I can't see it fitting pi3 Flirc is not showing up any other case on Amazon uk , only a flirc WiFi dongle! Unfortunately I can't get The ceramic heatsink ,when I tried putting my shippin...

Re: rpi 3 model b COOLING

Great posts. Ceramic heatsink? I always thought copper would be best. But I suppose saucepans are either copper or ceramic, not sure which is better but they must both be good conductors ! I like the idea of the flirc case acting as a heatsink ! As for the crashing, the pi 3 in question is my father...

rpi 3 model b COOLING

I'm, getting temperatures of 60+ which in sceptical of, because when I physically touched the chip it seemed HOT like touching a cup with hit coffee in. Really is the sensor accurate ?? I want to cool it as best I can, as openelec is freezing / crashing. Does anyone have any experience with a heatsi...

Re: "wake on lan"

I figured out how to disable wlan0, it only works this session, it comes back after a reboot.. but is this what's causing the "wake on lan" that i'm seeing on my rasp pi 2 which is running kodi and viewing files on my NEW RASPBERRY PI 3 this never happend before I upgraded from the raspberry pi 2......

I'm starting to think this has something to do with the onboard wifi, how can I be sure that the pi is using the eth0 connection and not wlan? I am not even using Wlan, how can I disable it??

"wake on lan"

My raspberry pi 3 with raspbian installed (not noobs) is connected to the internet via an ethernet cable. I noticed that on another raspberry pi (2) which was connected via wifi and streaming videos from my raspberry pi , as soon as the video ended and the view tried to access the root folder (where...
