I have had the same issue a OP, and the recommended SD card formatting software does not recover anything. It will just reformat the tiny partition and ignore the rest of the card.

Any updates on recovering your card that are actually viable? That actually work?

So I realize this posting has been inactive for about a year, but it's the closest things to my issue that I could find. I have a 16gb SD Card which I was using to run Raspian on a Pi. I want to start over, with a fresh install of Raspian, but when I go to reformat my SD card it only recognizes 1.33...
