Re: Best distro for musicians

Considering that only one reply was made on this thread; I assume that the Pi is not really used for any sort of usage like the one I had in mind. Not sure if it is because it is not convenient to use a Pi as synth for a midi keyboard, or because it cost less and it is easier to get a midi keyboard...

Thinking I'm going to get a second RPi. They're addictive. And like potato chips, you can't have just one. Does anyone run MySQL on a RPi? Server. If so, I'm thinking it might make a great platform to play with and get my feet wet with MySQL. Years ago I used to program in Visual FoxPro and some MS...

Re: Is reboot safe?

This sort of situation rarely occurs, typically when upgrading from one release to another (jessie to stretch, or stretch to buster), but as the general Raspbian way seems to be "start again with a new download", you'll almost never hit this scenario. While it occurs rarely it depends only on packa...

In your situation i'd ditch the bookshelf speakers and get a bluetooth sound bar. You can get a bluetooth dongle for your pi and set Kodi to bluetooth audio output to connect to the sound bar.

The RPi 3B has Bluetooth built in :?

You can run WINE on a Pi as long as you are not in a hurray. WINE assumes you are running on an x86 compatible chip set (basically Intel or AMD) and as the Pi is ARM based you have to emulate x86 architecture as well!
