Re: Error messages when running apt-get update

Can anyone give me a hand with the following. I've found a couple of threads with similar but not identical problems and their solutions haven't worked. When running sudo apt-get update I get the following error messages: Last login: Wed Sep 18 14:22:12 2019 from 174.205.9.217 Wi-Fi is currently bl...

Re: Power over Ethernet headed

I was aware the POE hat has a inbuilt fan. That's why I wondered whether those pins could be used more simply just for the sake of powering a fan. I took a look at the PoE HAT that I have. I don't think the fan is actually powered by the PoE pins. It looks to be powered from the GPIO block. If so, ...

Hello,

This isn't really 100% Pi, but I'm using Kdenlive (runs very nicely) and it doesn't seem to be able to crop a video to say, top right.

Does anybody know how to or which software for the Pi could do that?

Thanks

Re: Canon printer with CUPS no ARM driver?

Hi fruitoftheloom thanks for your reply. Yeah I was using the CUPS GUI on the browser at localhost:631. It looks like the problem may be that the CUPS on my pi is outdated (1.7.5). I'm on the Jessie distro also. Do you know if I need to upgrade the distro to a newer one to update CUPS or Gutenprint...

You can’t install Windows 7 or 10 on it.

I can see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyLdAs_roIA that it can be achived!

That is an "unofficial" port of Windows on ARM, it is not the same of Windows 7/8/10 x86 Desktop Edition

Why?

The USB Ports are connected to a LAN9512/4 USB/Ethernet Hub Chipset which in turn is connected to the single USB2 BUS.
