Re: How to setup Dolphin on a Pi 4 with Raspbian Buster

Yes, I followed through the guide completely. I may try using a fresh installation of Raspbian to try and rule out issues. I did get Dolphin working in Gentoo, but only when forcing OpenGL software rendering, which wasn't good for performance. The support seems better here, and I don't really know t...

Did you edit GFX.ini and add the PreferGLES = True line under [Settings]? Also check if the contents got overwritten?
Indeed I did and the value is still True. :/

Raspberry Pi 4B overlock experiments

Has anyone here tried overclocking the Raspberry Pi 4B? I've got an arm_freq of 2000 and over_voltage of 4 here, which appears to be working fine with fan cooling. I've not really tried pushing it further than this since this seems quite adventurous enough, and I've not tried overclocking the GPU an...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 - new VLI firmware issues

Someone on Reddit alerted me to the existence of this new firmware, but in addition to telling them my experiences, I've decided I may as well write them here in case they are at all helpful. The temperature reduction is certainly noticeable, and I am very pleased with it! USB throughput I have not ...

Are there any ways of using ARM64 applications on the Pi 4 yet?

It appears the Ubuntu MATE image needs to be updated to work with the Pi 4 and I don't see any other suitable options. Are we currently stuck with a 64-bit processor that can't be taken advantage of to run 64-bit applications? It appears Raspbian won't be shifting to 64-bit anytime soon.

See if Andrew's post at http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 6&p=519651 helps.

I can't get my Pi to function properly and I think it may be a hardware problem though maybe your case is slightly different from mine. Try his advice anyway as it's worth a shot.

Glad it's all working. Hopefully it'll continue to work for a long, long time. I've just noticed that your username seems to match your problem.

Re: comment "hacker" minecraft pi?

The Minecraft Pi Edition can have blocks placed etc using Python. Just search around on Google a bit for ways to use the API with it. As for your other question, no, it is not possible for the Pi to run the PC version of Minecraft although I do believe you can use the Pi as a server for the PC versi...

Re: Raspberry pi party light show controller

I'd just like to chime in and say that the Pi can play MP3s fine and controlling LEDs shouldn't really use all that much processing power. If your LED thing happens to be extremely complicated and fast-paced then maybe an Arduino would be more suited for the job (minus the playing music part).

Re: SDHC card selection

SanDisk cards are fine. As long as you don't try an XC (extra capacity) card or one under 4 GB then you'll be fine. I believe the XC cards are from 128GB onwards but I could be wrong.

Re: RS new Pi: Fried SD card :-(

Could be a dodgy SD card or dodgy Pi. If your Pi keeps on killing SD cards (and no other devices do) then your Pi has something wrong but if this is just a one-off occasion then it's most likely a faulty card.

I find screen very helpful as it allows you to continue an SSH window without killing it when you disconnect. More information can be found at http://raspberrypihelp.net/tutorials/37 ... disconnect.

Pretty cool as it's a bit of a pain to log in to SSH or something to turn it off each time when it's working... unlike mine.
