Re: Still using Minecraft?

This is definitely true and Minecraft resonates a lot more than Minetest or some other "piworld". In the same way that people on a pi are encouraged to use LibreOffice (hoe many users does MSOffice have?) some effort towards fully open 3d worlds would be welcome. Having said that, I struggled to fin...

Still using Minecraft?

I still see a lot of articles and examples about python scripts for Minecraft Pi. Why do I say "still"? Minecraft Pi is a dead project, never to be updated again. Only runs on the Pi. Its integration in the destkop is less that optimal with odd mouse behaviour. There are pretty good FOSS alternative...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 VPN Hotspot possible

If you are happy to use a proxy and to configure each browser you dont need an access point, just a pi connected to your local network (ethernet or wifi). The advantage of the VPT + Access Point is that no extra configuration is required. Any device connected to the pi AP will go via the vpn regardl...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 VPN Hotspot possible

I want to do exactly the same. So, after reading I think 1) set up the openvpn client 2) this should create a new (virtual) interface 3) follow https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/wireless/access-point.md 4) change eth0 in sudo iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE...

[SOLVED] Re: Citrix Workspace on Pi 3

I managed to connect with both a PI2 and PI3 with super good performance. The error was yet again a certificate issue. The problem is that some errors area clearly linked to certificates, others (like unknown error) are more difficult to relate to it. In the end I have added all certificates from /e...

Citrix Workspace on Pi 3

I've recently tried to run Citrix Workspace on the Pi with poor results. 1) The chromium app: works on Pi 2 and Pi 3, but it is too slow. Impossible to use on Pi 2, but still too slow on a Pi 3 b+. Connection always happens correctly. 2) Installed Citrix Receiver (wfica) on Pi 2 and 3 in Raspbian 9....

No raspberry, but the website lists other platforms like Windows, Linux etc..

The bash installer is written to work on many different linux distro, but the at the "wget" point the file is missing.

It is already sold out, as expected.

Do we know

1) will it be printed again?
2) is it possible to start a subscription from Issue 57?

Thanks

Re: Kernel oops when plugging in/out USB devices

Hi, Whenever I plug in/out an USB device (storage, modem, etc) , I get a kernel oops. I have tried the official Arch Linux ARM forums, but no luck. If I run on kernel 4.1.15 from a disk image made end Jan-2016, I do not experience this issue. I see that the issue has been reported here ... Is this ...

Re: emacs via ssh, missing fonts for menubar

It looks like you probably need to compile from source. I am searching but not finding where the source is, though! Pacman does list a few packagekit type packages though, I wonder if one of those might help you? Search with pacman -Ss packagekit, pk seems to be related to packagekit. There is a pa...

emacs via ssh, missing fonts for menubar

Hi, I've recently reinstalled arch and I now have this problem. When I connect to the pi via ssh with X forwarding, and I want to run emacs, it does not display the menu items properly, nor the dialog boxes. Instead I get boxes everywhere http://picpaste.com/emacs-0RCjpHzR.png On the pi terminal, em...

DHCP not working after power cut

Hi, this happens each time there is a power cut. I think: the Pi comes back way faster than the router and when it tries to get an IP the router is not there yet so I always need to power it off and on again. it seems the DHCP client does not try to reget an IP when the router is back on. there is a...

Hi, I've been trying for a while to setup my Pi as an Internet Radio player. I use mpd and internal audio. I have a very similar issues.

On the hub, as soon as there is some other usb activity, very bad sound (even after all other devices have been removed).

Directly into Pi, ok

My hub is

explicitly bought from modmypi for its great qualities....
