Re: Cheap 'n simple UPS

<t>@vempele<br/> <br/> Well the 8800 mAh is only at 5 volts, so it's not like it's a whole lot of energy anyway. But it's probably a bit optimistic, no doubt! <br/> <br/> @aeiah<br/> <br/> That's so true, as I mentioned earlier, it's not at all a true UPS, but it will be a backup in caes where the p...

Re: Cheap 'n simple UPS

<r>I actually just thought of using a battery like this:<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-5V-.....3f0c7378ae">http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-5V-.....3f0c7378ae</URL><br/> <br/> I know it's a bit expensive, but it may be essential for at least one of the projects I'm doing with the RaPi! I...

Re: Will SSD be supported

You will not be able to boot from the SSD, but you will be able to access files stored on an SSD through the usb. The transfer speeds will be greatly reduced by the bandwith limitations in the usb though.

Re: Is there a way to use the LCDs for, say, the PSP with the pi?

<r>Eclipse – That link is not getting me anywhere?<br/> <br/> Anyway, I'm monotoring this thread with great enthusiasm! It would be great to find a highres display in the 3,5"-5" range. The Display from the iPhone would obviously be the best idea for this, as it has a display of something like 960x4...

Re: BGA at home

<t>Hah! I've seen quite a few of videos like this, as I had a HP DV6000 which, like all of its brothers, dies at an early age because of a bad nb/gpu from nVidia combined with a inadequate cooling solution from HP.<br/> <br/> I did the reflow with a heat gun about a year back, and about a month ago ...

Re: Squeeze Player on the Raspberry Pi

<t>Thanks for the great posts. Especially the idea with running it as a console w/o any GUI is great, if that's what makes it able to work with the hardware limitations. I currently use the squeeze play on my HTPC, but I never use the interface, as I control the music from my smartphone and/or a pc ...

Re: Perfect Case for everyone born in the 80's ;)

<t>Seems like a really good idea with the GamePi!<br/> <br/> May just go and buy my first ever GameBoy just to do this project! Personally I'm thinking og using some bluetooth UI with my Android phone, as using the 4 available buttons seems inadequate.<br/> <br/> Battery wise I'd say the best thing ...
