Re: The projects list. Look here for some ideas.

I'm planning on making some sort of augmented reality system using a couple Raspberry Pi's. I'm thinking about putting a small touch screen and a camera on one and using it to identify and track objects. I might make the other one into a smart quadrocopter that can track objects from the air. Kind ...

Re: XBMC prepacked card won't boot to bash prompt...

I haven't got anywhere near the end of the thread yet, so not seen if there's been a fix, but where I'm up to suggest XBMC isn't working at all well with berryboot so I'll most likely go for xbian but I'll see what works when I have a spare SD to play with. Cheers for the heads up on this one...topg...

Re: XBMC prepacked card won't boot to bash prompt...

If you want to try multibooting from a single sd-card I guess Berryboot is the thing to try. Aha, now this is something I've not seen as yet, search has thus far only yielded folk asking the question unanswered... So the option is there to have a 32gig card with a few distro's on board, am I right ...

Re: XBMC prepacked card won't boot to bash prompt...

Hi again, What you are looking at is free memory (ram) and not free space. Now you have ssh working ssh in and run df - h to see how much space you have left. Also try installing Raspbmc instead of openelec I think it's better :D Ah ok I'm with you, nice one :) I've had a little chat with the suppl...

Re: XBMC prepacked card won't boot to bash prompt...

Which XBMC distro are you using? Openelec, Raspbmc or Xbian? If it is raspbmc then as soon as you press reboot and see the shutdown messages press Esc, not when it's booting back up. Openelec XBMC v.12.2 Linux v.3.2.4 Don't get a shutdown message, it just black screens....only get a couple of lines...

Which XBMC version have you got?
If it's Raspbmc then after you select reboot from the GUI press Esc.
no joy, tried pressing escape after reboot, as well as holding/tapping during, just repeats the fresh command .[ then boots the gui straight up.

Re: XBMC prepacked card won't boot to bash prompt...

Woohoo there is life :) I'd almost lost hope... I did enable SSH but not entirely clued on how this works. Do I straight connect from the lappy via ethernet? Do I need a program/app to talk to the Pi? Will I be able to expand the partition on the SD this way as I'm not going to be able to fit much m...

XBMC prepacked card won't boot to bash prompt...

Hey pi-ple, Have just received our, much awaited Pi with preloaded XBMC card. Went for this instead of NOOBS as I thought it might be a full version, having seen reference to "sampling" distro's from NOOBS...version:3.2.4? I'm perfectly happy with the interface as a media centre, but I also want to ...
