Re: Raspberry Pi 3B+ Media center build

I have a pidrive case: https://www.modmypi.com/raspberry-pi/ca ... -6x6-black
It houses my pi3b and 2.5inch 2tb WD HDD. It all works with no modification and no need for extra hub etc!

Recomendations for Camera

Hi all,
So the wife has tasked me with making a night vision camera to record our front driveway.
I have seen the Pi NoIR camera and IR LED sets but wondering a quite simple question... If i add more IR LEDs will i get better range?

Re: ECU + Pi

what are you looking to find out from the ECU? I would suspect some kind of ODBII port to serial then some kind of serial adapter. then you would need to port the software to run on the Pi and finally download and install the info from the manufacturer. Would this help: http://www.stuffaboutcode.com...

yeah. i think if they just made the case a little wider and encorporated a right angled HDMI it would be perfect.

Re: (almost)Perfect Case for Raspberry Pi – Short Crust Revi

I hope you don't mind but i thought i would add my 2c. I agree with you for the most part. I have just bought this case myself purely for the fact the micro usb power has been re-located. I'm running raspbmc on it and its run about 57°c. One thing i just wish they had done is made it a little wider ...

Re: Overclocking 1ghz

So with the following:

arm_freq=1000
gpu_freq=258
core_freq=500
sdram_freq=600
over_voltage=6

I shouldn't blow my pi. In fact if i understand correctly it's running less than the foundations 'turbo' overclock?

Re: Overclocking 1ghz

Fair enough, I'm tempted to keep the 1ghz clock and try to boost the gpu freq to 260. see how that goes.

not needed as it all runs very nice and smoothly but just curious how high i can go before i break something!

Re: Overclocking 1ghz

Not bad. That a 1.1 clock?

how are the temps and what case are you using?

Another random question the vcgencmd get_config int will show the clock speed etc but to get uptime you just need to type uptime?

Ah ok, so should i open up the config and delete it? I'm tempted to try going for 500mhz too. Is there any way to have it clock back if it fails to boot?

Thanks for the reply :) I have never soldered in my life so could be an interestng learning curve! the plan is to hide it all inside the Shortcrust case, then when the unit is powered off you can't see anything. I'm not to worried about scrolling like you say, maybe in the future. I may well go ahea...

I currently use my Pi to run Raspbmc on my TV and was aiminig to get a 16*2 display to show the IP and UpTime for the pi. My questions are: 1. Is this even possib...
