Re: "Demo command not found"

./ means to run from the current directory. Are you in the correct location?

Looking at your documentation (section "Testing the Examples") you need to be in the following directory (probably in your home folder, but check)

rpi-rgb-led-matrix/examples-api-use

Option 2 (SSH)
Select Yes
Exit
Reboot (might not need this - can't remember.)

Re: Network Monitoring

If you're running X rather than CLI, you could try wireshark which seems to be in the Raspbian repo. I've only ever used it on Windows though and only for short term sessions. Not sure if it will give you the info you're wanting

Re: Do not buy this case, it has broken 2 brand new Pi 3 B+ devices

Title looks a bit ambiguous (as do many ebay listings). Reading through the listing, it does not list the 3B+ as a compatible device (nor incompatible though).

Which operating system are you using?

Try adding vers=1.0 to the options list, e.g.

Code: Select all

sudo mount -t cifs -o username=<Uname>,password=<pwd>,vers=1.0 //192.168.0.xxx/Share /mnt/mylocalfold

Are you sure sshd is running (i.e. have you enabled ssh in raspi-config)?

Re: files visible in terminal window, but not in GUI folders

Out of curiosity, what does it say in the bottom left of the status bar on the File Manager window?

You could achieve this effect by aliasing dir to dir -a and having a folder full of hidden (. prefix) files.

Re: Clone my customized sd

For Ubuntu, to make image of card: cd ~ sudo dd bs=1M if=/dev/sdb of=my_os.img Then, to copy to other cards: sudo dd bs=1M if=my_os.img of=/dev/sdb Be very careful with the /dev/sdb - this must be the path of your SD card reader (use dmesg to check after plugging in the card). Also make sure destina...

Re: successful boot, unsuccessful reboot

You're not changing anything to do with video output are you? Sounds like the Pi is booting but not outputting video - how are you connected, video-wise? If HDMI, have you tried modifying /boot/config.txt to force HDMI always?

With this being a custom image, you're likely to get more relevant assistance on their forum (if they have one).

However, what are the contents of your apt sources file? e.g.

Code: Select all

cat /etc/apt/sources.list

Re: Creating a custom image

When you say "custom image", do you mean full OS image or something else? The steps you have taken will have built you a custom Kernel and associated modules. To use this on an existing Pi OS, you would need to copy the relevant bits in the /boot folder and then install the modules. So, are you want...

Re: Connecting Pi to PC

It sounds from your title and description that you want to do something like: Button -> Pi -> PC -> Application So you press the button, connected to the Pi and an application opens on the PC. Is that correct? This is not a straightforward task as the Pi to PC connection (which I'm assuming you are ...

Three things that immediately jump out are You have an erroneous ?> (php closing tag) at the start of the file You don't have an opening form tag You have exec t , rather than exec for your command execution Is this an exact copy of your php file? Not sure why I asked that to be honest. It's the server machine where that command should be run but you haven't mentioned what the server is.
